The biggest issue by far is the railway line immediately next to the lodges. Trains pass extremely frequently, including late into the night and again early in the morning. Sleep was significantly disrupted for the whole family. There is no clear indication on the listing of just how close the lodges are to the tracks, and had this been properly disclosed, I...

"The bedroom was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spotless. The tea and coffee provided were great quality. The beds were comfortable but a bit creaky. The floor was uneven and creaky so a bit noisy when moving around. The common areas in the hotel are shabby, although it's an old building it could do with some updating. Our reservation included free parking yet we were charged for a parking permit."
