"Everything I wanted to see and do was in walking distance. The gentleman at the front desk actually let me put my bag behind the counter till I was able to check in so I was able to walk around. The staff was terrific. Very helpful They had a nice little restaurant next-door excellent food and the button that I was there every morning was wonderful. Everybody in that place was so pleasant and nice. I will be going back there to the Blake hotel, and to that restaurant."

"The desk kindly upgraded us to a suite in the newly remodeled 18th floor. The suite was fantastic--clean, roomy and bright with a wonderful view of the Mighty Mississippi! The only negative comment I have i that the bed pillows are very thick and uncomfortable for me. Perhaps others would like them though. We will definitely be staying at Marriott again!"

"This is an excellent boutique hotel on St. Charles Avenue with on-site self parking and easy access to the streetcar to move about if you don't feel like walking (the streetcar runs down the center of St. Charles). The front desk staff was friendly (Geoffrey was extremely helpful and attentive.) My only complaint is that the towels in the room seemed a bit worn and not fitting for a higher quality hotel. This is an easy fix -- if they order some new towels. There are many restaurants lining St. Charles Avenue, and if you wanna mix it up with the locals after hours, there's a dive bar called Igor's just a few doors down from the hotel. On my last night, I grabbed some cheap deli Brother's Fried Chicken from the convenience store on the corner and ate it while drinking a beer sitting outside Igor's. The DJ was playing old school R&B, and I sat there and chilled until I got sleepy, then took the few steps to the hotel and crashed. All in all this is a good quiet hotel on an interesting street. I'll stay here again."
