"It takes forever to get the host to give you an answer to a question or concern you have, to the point you no longer need an answer from them anymore. They may write "I'll get back to you", and then you wait hours with no response. The checkout is 10am (which is an hour earlier than most places). If you need an hour or two overtime they want to charge you almost the price of an entire day extra. We made sure to...

AC Hotels by Marriott Sacramento Folsom

10/10 Excellent

"Staff was very helpful and good restaurants walking distance away"

Red Lion Inn & Suites Auburn

8/10 Good

"Pros: Property has everything you need for a short stay. The parking lot and location is safe and easy to access. The staff is very nice at check in and check out. There is a continental breakfast included at no extra charge. The rooms are spacious. The bed is very comfortable. There is a fridge, blow-dryer, ironing board, and the shower water is warm and good water pressure. Next to the hotel is conveniently a taco bell and Starbucks. The location is just a short uber ride to downtown. Cons: This is an older property, the rooms could use a little extra cleaning and minor updating but to be expected for its age. Reason for staying: We like to day drink and hop around the shops and downtown/old town and found this is a comfortable hotel to stay and the location is very convenient."
