"Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. Behind the simple walls you will find a beautiful and modern hotel. The included breakfast was great and the common areas were lovely. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment that was amazing. Margarida at the reception area was very helpful and provided us with tips and even helped us make dining reservations. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The location of this hotel was perfect to explore this magical city. It’s located right next to the university and a short walk to the city center, dining, and attractions. My husband and I wished we could have stayed at this hotel and in Coimbra longer. We highly recommend this hotel when visiting Coimbra."
"Perfect location for tourist activities. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and very helpful. We appreciated their English language skills because our Portuguese is very limited. The hotel is of another era and transported us back in time with its old world charm, although maybe a little faded from its heyday. The many historic photos of the hotel and others in the same hotel group were fun to look at. The breakfast was VERY good with a wide selection of hot and cold options. The room included an entrance area separating the bathroom and bedroom, and were well appointed. We felt pampered. We also had a nice view of the downtown area and beyond from our room. We would definitely stay again on a return trip to Coimbra!"
