"Excellent accommodation, the room was clean, modern, bed comfortable Staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was upstairs, which was fine for us. The Porters Lodge has a very warm and welcoming feel. The grounds are beautiful and make sure you visit the Abbey. We want to go back and use as a base for a short break. Would recommend."

"The hotel advertises the fact that they have a 2 year plan for refurbishment etc and state that the rooms are professionally cleaned and then sealed. We didn't find any evidence of this, either from the cleaning point or the sealing of the room, and would point out that the "professional cleaners" may want to buy a new vacuum cleaner because the one they are using doesn't pick up very well from the carpet. On arrival at the room we noticed that there was just one solitary teabag, barely enough milk and sugar for two cups of tea. Again this is usually something the cleaning staff would cover. We were going out for the evening and asked at reception for more teabags, milk, sugar. When we arrived back we found these items outside the room in the corridor on the floor in a tea cup! When we were leaving for the evening besides the teabags etc that we asked for we also asked if the toilet seat could be fixed because it was hardly secured and was in grave danger of causing someone a mischief. We were told that the maintenance man would be asked to sort it out. Unfortunately he either didn't take any notice of the request or wasn't asked because it hadn't been fixed by the time we returned. To exit the hotel is an archway which contained dog poo bags in one corner and a couple of 5 gallon containers of used cooking oil against the wall with approx another 10 containers just outside. There are other detrimental facts but this review doesn't allow more than 1500 characters."

"The rooms are separate from the other areas of the pub which make them very quiet. Each room has its own HVAC which allows for individual room temperature and comfort. The food was very good and the service was excellent. It’s convenient to Leominster that boasts an hour of free parking next to the central shopping area."

"Firstly the SMELL OF SEWERS was overpowering. Taking freezing cold showers takes a bit getting used to. I had booked 3 nights I was so disgusted with the smell and cold water I checked out after 2 nights I told the Asian man at the reception that he can use the money I paid for the 3rd night to get his Boiler Fixed. Stay if you have more money than sense!"

"Disappointed that the leasure center and pool were undergoing renovation and we had not been informed of this at the booking stage. We should have been informed by the hotel or Expedia. What compensation will there be for this disappoint."

"Hidden gem. Excellent value accommodation with large bedroom and bathroom featuring quality fittings aligning with the period house. We had a delightful hot breakfast with a great selection of freshly prepared ingredients. Pleasant garden surroundings great to walk around and explore. Ample on-site parking too. Staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately due to our UK travel plans we could only stay for 1 night. Located close to a nice country pub within walking distance having great family facilities too."
