"The room was filthy. Orange and red bits in the sink probably food from someone else’s spit. The ceiling’s peeling off in the bathroom and bedroom. Mould / discolouration in all the bathroom crevices. Mysterious stains all over the bed sheets and pillow covers. Awful sound proofing as I could hear the ladies in the room opposite yapping away all evening. Someone was knocking on their door or my door (couldn’t tell because the walls are so thin it sounds the same) at 9 / 10pm asking to be let in. As a woman I didn’t feel safe with this. No plug sockets by the bed so I couldn’t charge my phone overnight as putting it on the other side of the room would make me miss my alarm. The rooms are so outdated and not well maintained. And the worst part, no heating and awful weather proofing. The room was disgracefully cold and I tried to turn up the thermostat and turn on the heat but nothing. I had to put on my change of clothes on top of my pyjamas just to feel warmer (and was still freezing). The staff don’t even ask how your stay was at checkout (probably as they know they’ll receive poor feedback). Overall awful hotel, pictures don’t show the real / current state of the rooms, may have been nice 50 years ago but not fit for 2026."

"Room was ok car park was a bit sketchy a lot of broken glass from previous cars who had their windows smashed - staff just joked about the car park and how it was park at your own risk anyway. Breakfast was good I liked the omelette station but coffee was dire! WiFi was really poor and gave up with it in the end. "

"The breakfast buffet was a bit underwhelming..only eggs scrambled, I didn’t ask about vegan options but egg choices or vegan options were not offered, the basics were there but I felt that getting down to breakfast early was a better bet. I was upgraded to a spacious room on arrival on an upper floor with fabulous views. Very clean and quiet. Central location was excellent. Staff were very helpful."
