"Excellent property with excellent service. They are creating a niche for themselves with their bespoke services. Hope, they continue to do that and upscale. "

"Overall good experience.
It's a nice place for a lazy stay. only limitation is that the room I chose weren't facing the Banasura hills but I got royal family suite complementary for a day. Hence I can forget it.

"The property is old and it’s visible in the rooms.
The views from room are not great .
The whole property layout is decent not wow.
I have been to better properties.
Food was good "
"Room (loft) was very spacious with view. It’s modern, clean, and comfortable. I carried a power adapter but found that they already have receptacles that will accept American, European, and UK plugs. They also have USB outlets. We had a nice balcony but couldn’t use it due to rain. We only spent one night but it was worthwhile. "
"This place is a dream come true.
I have always wondered what a villa in Bali would look like, and when I entered the doors of Les Candles, I was left in aw.
The layout, deisgn and daily practices of this resort is geared for nature-lovers and eco-friendly tourists. The smallest details reflect their commitment to their environment and these speak louder than an any ad ever could.
The staff were exceptional. They rose to greet me as I entered the office and offered me welcome drinks. Then, I saw them do the same for their guests who arrived after. One morning, the receptionsit held the baby of a guest, so that mama could enjoy her breakfast. These are the small acts of kindess and compassion that show how much they care about the comfort of their customers.
The young man to taught me how how to fish for tilapia (although he didn't know himself how to do so :)) was hilarious. I absolutely loved spending time with him. The food was also delcious and the head of kitchen ensured we were well-fed nutrious meals.
Just 1 km drive away, there are all kinds of stores and services, and the same main road takes you to other wonders such as Wayanad.
I highly recommend this resort, for its proximity to busy Calicut (about 30 minutes drive) and its interlace with pure, fresh, unspoiled nature. I will defintely be returning soon.

"Great getaway for a few days immersed in nature, stunning hikes and views and wonderful staff and cuisine.
Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!"
"Over a number of years we have stayed at lots of different hotels in India ranging from 2 star to 5 star and the Oshin Hotel in Kalpetta was the best for us. The standards of hygiene were excellent (no bugs in sight), all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and whatever we asked for e.g. iron and ironing board, extra coat hangers, more towels etc, were produced in moments. What makes this hotel extra special are the staff, every single one of them whether it was a housemaid, reception staff, restaurant staff or manager went out of their way to help and were always cheerful and friendly.
There is an onsite restaurant and coffee shop, just a couple of things to be aware of 1. The menu is predominantly Indian (well you are in India) however there are one or two European dishes available and 2 .The hotel is alcohol free but the mocktails were delicious and we never noticed the absence of booze.
We didn’t use the on site swimming pool or gymnasium but they never appeared crowded. Outside of the hotel it’s about a five minute walk to an ATM and auto rickshaws. Alternatively, if you need a taxi the hotel will arrange this for you.
We had a wonderful stay and have given the Oshin Hotel a five star rating - it deserved nothing less.

"Our stay at The Taj Hotel in Wayanad was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of Wayanad’s lush green hills, the hotel offers an unparalleled sense of tranquility. The serene surroundings, with their breathtaking views and peaceful ambiance, made it the perfect escape from the chaos of daily life.
The food was an absolute highlight of our visit. From sumptuous local delicacies to international cuisine, every meal was a feast for the senses. The chefs clearly put their heart and soul into crafting dishes that delighted both the palate and the soul.
Another standout experience was the Ayurvedic massage at the spa, which was so relaxing and rejuvenating. The therapist was skilled, creating an ambiance of complete serenity. It was the perfect way to unwind and immerse myself in the wellness traditions of Kerala.
What truly set our experience apart, however, was the exceptional service. The staff at The Taj Hotel were warm, professional, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had the best possible stay. A special mention must go to Sreejith, who took care of us from day one until our departure. His attention to detail, thoughtful gestures, and dedication to making our stay unforgettable were truly commendable.
If you’re looking for a luxurious retreat in a tranquil setting with exceptional food, outstanding service, and world-class spa treatments, The Taj Hotel in Wayanad is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!"
