The Rollright Stones is a complex of three Neolithic and Bronze Age megalithic monuments near the village of Long Compton on the borders of Oxfordshire and Warwickshire in the English Midlands. Constructed from local oolitic limestone, the three monuments now known as the King's Men, the King Stone and the Whispering Knights, are distinct in their design and purpose, and were built at different periods in late prehistory. Chipping Norton is OK, but we loved going up to Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water (We walked to Upper/Lower Slaughter), and Burford.

Flashback to 1983 - my Mom and I went into the Blue Boar pub. Fireplace going, man in sheperd's attire with crook in-hand tip laying between his resting Welly clad feet. It's updated, expanded and fantastic. A joy to see it again.
