"The room was cute. It seemed like it would be a good first studio apartment for someone just starting out. The bed was on a wooden frame. No box spring. Despite the thickness of the mattress, it was not as soft as I would have preferred. There was a mini fridge and a microwave. However the microwave was placed in a cabinet on the lowest shelf. For travelers who are fit and trim, I'm sure this would be fine. I am not fit and trim nor young. Kneeling on the floor was not enjoyable. The TV in the room was confusing to me. I received emails before my arrival that I could watch streaming services with my personal subscriptions. I was pretty confident I could figure it out. Once I got to the room, there was no real explanation of what to do. I also wanted to watch live TV. There was a choice for free channels but when I went to that, all the channel descriptions were empty and I thought it was broken. The next day I realized I could just pick a channel and despite the appearance that they were broken, everything was fine. The biggest issue was that the elevators are not working. My room was on the 4th floor and I recently had surgery. If I would have known there was no elevator, I would have never booked this place. The sign on the elevator said that the management was trying to address this as soon as possible. I am very skeptical of that. I chose this place because of its affordable price and its proximity to the VA Hospital. Next time, I will choose differently."

"The personnel here are outstanding: warm, welcoming, kind and funny. The view from the 18th floor facing the Ohio River is unbeatable. However, our king size bed was unusually soft for a quality hotel, the comforter too short and inadequately thin for comfortable sleeping and the fold--down seat for the shower had mold all around its fixture to the wall. And please, while there is a choice for coffee drinkers between regular and decaf coffee, there was only black tea. Yes, some 80% of tea consumed in the US is black. But that means some 15% is green tea and for those of us who minimize caffeine in our beverages, green is the only way to go."

"My stay was good and what I expected for the cost. I was anticipating a soft cushioned chair in the room for relaxation. Unfortunately there was none the only chair available was a desk chair. But the bed and the bathroom, especially the shower head was adjustable for a good neck and shoulder massage with great water pressure and the amenities were very good the breakfast was exceptional for the cost. This was my second time choosing this hotel for a conference at the convention center. I was not disappointed."
