"I was a little nervous booking the hotel seeing the online rating wasn’t that good. However if you’re looking for overnight accommodation that doesn’t cost the earth then here’s your best option. On arrival the reception was a bit slow but I guess it was because others happen to arrive at the same time. Room was okay but a bit dated and worn to today’s standards/ expectations, but it was enough for our needs. Clean and comfortable. Kettle, mugs, tea and coffee, milk & sugar provided. Large samsung tv. No car charging facilities on site with the nearest one about a mile away in a BP service station. Close to Manchester airport. The parking situation wasn’t good as we arrived between 8-9pm, and the car park was completely full. We were directed to other car parks at the rear of the property which were also full. Eventually found one free space which wasn’t great for our new vehicle (we’re fussy!). It seemed that the parked cars were taking priority to the hotel guests, and there were far too many long stay cars there which led to a shortage of available spaces for hotel guests. This put us off staying at the hotel in future sorry. "

"The staff were great. The rooms are clean and easily accessible. The security was a plus. The only thing that was an issue was that the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. Appart from that I enjoyed, I would recommend and stay again considering the cost."

"4 pillows, 2 with protectors on but stained and warn, the other two with no protector at all. They have to address this, as it’s a serious hygiene issue. None of the staff knew what their policy was. The renovated rooms have been done well considering the room price, however hallways are very dated and not maintained. "

"Stayed here for a wedding close by, was a great spot. Lots to eat nearby too. Hotel itself was well situated, lots of parking, and staff all friendly. Room great too, would reccomend!"

"Check-in was quick and simple, with directions to room given. The room itself, was very clean and lived up to the executive room type, with lovely decor and furnishings. The amenities were spot on, coffee machine, tea tray with lovely biscuits. Bed was big and very comfy, pillows were great. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection and tge service was fantastic. Overall a great stay, thanks."

"The room was a little tired but ok for what we paid. We were hoping to get room service when we arrived but that didn’t appear to be a thing since there was no menu (or any other hotel information) in the room. We headed to the restaurant where we were waited on by a lovely young lady (Matilda?) However, the food was not good at all. The menu was very limited and uninspiring. We were served the driest pork belly bites we’ve ever tasted (like they’d been reheated multiple times), brown salad leaves, stale, toasted bread sold as focaccia and it wasn’t cheap. Unfortunately breakfast wasn’t much better with multiple items run out (no sausages and minimal beans) despite it not being busy. When I mentioned this to one of the staff there was no apology, just an acknowledgment (which I believe was acted on but too late for us). I’ve stayed multiple times in another De Vere property which has always been fantastic. This one falls way short of the same standard. It was fine for a basic stop over but nothing more."
