"I have to start off with how much I LOVE the kooky art work in this hotel. It made me want to walk to halls just to find more. 😂Absolutely loved my room! The jetted tub was so amazing and appreciated the balcony for a solo cup of coffee in the morning. Sheets were crisp and clean and the room smelled wonderful when I walked in. Wish I got the name of the woman who checked me in to give her a shout out. She was a sweetheart. Will absolutely stay here again if and when I visit Big Bear. 🐻
Only thing to know is there is a $20 a night parking fee to be in the lot. Worth it."
"Couldn’t beat the location and the views. Staff was really friendly and the room was nice. It was a very small room, which is ok if you’re not planning to spend much time there. Our bathroom sliding door wouldn’t quite stay all the way closed, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. Our kids loved the pool and beach area, and we appreciated the close proximity to the village. Overall, we will definitely stay again if we decide to stay in a hotel on our next visit."
"The room was great! The place was very homey and clean. Angela was also amazing, however the tv wasn’t working, We were not told we needed to ask for hot water so we endured a cold shower at night but then asked Angela the next day and it was heated but only slightly warm. The highlight was the private jacuzzi! In spite of the two not so great things this was a very memorable stay and kind of perfect."
"Request a room upstairs, request a room upstairs, request a room upstairs. Despite an amazing location, remodeled rooms and amazing stay, my only complaint is how thin the walls are. We go to bed fairly early but people upstairs stayed up and walked around and played music until 2am.
It’s not their fault but I would request the room upstairs if I planned to stay again “also request a fan because it’s wayyyy too quiet and you hear everything!!!! But again, it’s a beautiful location, beautiful rooms and for the price, I’d book again"
"We always stay at the Lagonita, its right on the lake, which is great. The full kitchens are very convenient. Fireplace in each unit. Not far from the village. Very quiet and peaceful. They have activities, you can rent boats and they have a boat tour of the lake you can take. The parking situation is good. The staff are always helpful. Only drawback is no air conditioning, but they give you a fan lol. Its never bothered us, better to breath in the fresh mountain air."
