My wife and I are graduates of Western Carolina University and hadn't been in this area in over 25 years. We were able to go back - the mountains were calling. The cabin was so cute. It had everything we needed and the deck overlooking the river was our favorite part of the trip. It was so relaxing and peaceful. We really enjoyed sight seeing in this area and had a wonderful stay!

Appaloosa cabin

Very quaint little cabin. Perfect size for a quick getaway in the mountains. Very clean. Really appreciate the host being quick to answer the phone if I had questions. Would definitely stay there again.

All We Needed and Very Comfortable!

We visited the Appaloosa 2 while we were in the area checking out the national park and a few other nearby attractions. We had three small children with us and the cabin was clean and completely accommodating. The back porch overlooking the Oconaluftee was a real treat, as was the riverside area below the cabin. It's secluded enough for adequate privacy but not so much so that you can't quickly drive to nearby attractions. It was about 10 minutes to the Oconaluftee Visitor Center and a short drive to Bryson City, Sylva and Cherokee--all worth exploring. We had a great time and would recommend.

Great weekend vaca

The cabin was exactly as described/pictured and very clean, but I felt there could've been more stocked in the kitchen. We loved being on the river with the trail. Quiet and peaceful.

Great location

A good, solid place to stay. It was clean upon arrival and communication with the owner/manager was was quick and efficient Location to town and attractions was convenient. The walking trail down to the river was a bit steeper than we had anticipated, but in reading reviews after our stay, it looks as though perhaps there might be another way down to the river that would offer easier access, so keep that in mind and ask the owner about it. It rained on us most of the trip, so we spent most of our time in the cabin, at the casino or walking the shops in Cherokee, so we didn't stress about it too much. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute, comfortable, convenient cabin

The cabin is in a great location just a few minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the town of Cherokee. It's not luxurious, but it's very comfortable and easily met all our needs. The location is amazing with a beautiful stream in the back and trees all around. Communication and check-in were easy. We've stayed here twice now and loved it.

A little get away

A very nice little cabin great view love the property overlooks the river me and my sister and a friend had a really nice time there and we didn’t wanna leave caught a couple of fish I would highly recommend it and hope it’s available the next time I wanna do that again

Mountain and River Beauty

We had a perfect guys get away trip for relaxing, trout fishing, grilling out and chilling out. The cabin was situated perfectly at the river for easy access, and sounds of the river. The back porch was very nice to sit, relax and fellowship. Kitchen had everything you needed. Host communicated quickly and was available if needed. We can't wait to book and stay again. We loved it!

Peaceful Getaway

Set in a natural setting, this cozy cabin provides a quiet, peaceful place that is also close to the town of Cherokee.The host reaches out to make sure you have everything you need and is available and responds promptly.The cabin was clean and had everything we needed during our stay.
