"I love this place! This was my 2nd visit, with the first being a decade ago for a family reunion. It's going through some highly positive transition as of 8/2026 - my 2-night visit was punctuated by diligent roof-replacement workers. My advice in the short term is to bring a hair dryer (there are hair dryers in the rooms but their outlets don't work); and to either give up on the idea of ice or bring your own in a cooler. But these are minor and short-term annoyances. The big concern for most travelers is cleanliness, and Weiss Lake Lodge has this in spades! I prefer properties with room doors that open to fresh air rather than to long corridors, and Weiss Lake Lodge has that. Yes, some minor annoyances in August 2026, but those are short lived and that old motel is nothing short of timeless. Great stay, and highly helpful staff at a time that was highly stressful for them. Though staff were stressed with current conditions, EVERY one of them was helpful and courteous with guests. Great place to stay. I'll be back!"

"Wonderful house and property! We had 30 kids and adults and were comfortable and busy our whole trip! Plenty to do and plenty of chances to relax! We celebrated a 50th anniversary with a vow renewal on the dock which was beautiful and had dinners and breakfasts on the huge covered deck. The house was fully stocked with everything you need and very well taken care of! The owners and property managers were also very accommodating and open with their communication. We had a terrific experience!"
Lake House Fishing Cabin (35 minutes from Chattanooga Tn)

"We've stayed in this cabin several times but not in a few years. The cabin now has bowed flooring, there is now road noise, traffic, we didn't experience before. There are new cabins across the lake and less privacy. The peddle boat and boat are gone. The current kayaks are not as large and comfortable as the ones from previous years. There is no wifi and very little signal. Where did all the fish and turtles go? Don't get me wrong, it was good enough, the cabin was clean. However, it has lost its charm. This will be our last visit. And...they placed a for sale sign on the property yesterday."
