  • In the heart of the Loire Valley, 260m2 house in tufa stone, cozy and comfortable with the advantages of the city and the countryside. Large charming house with stone walls and exposed beams to spend exceptional moments with family or friends. Atypical with rooms organized around a pretty courtyard and a sunny garden. Large living rooms with a 48m2 living room and a 38m2 dining room. Large terraces and an enclosed garden allow you to enjoy the calm and a direct view of the countryside and the park of the Château d'Azay. Secure private 8mx4m swimming pool open from May to September (exact dates depending on the weather) and heated as an option (from 25€ to 45€/day). 10 minutes walk from the lively town center of Azay le Rideau, its many restaurants and its castle. Bakery, grocery store, pharmacy within 100 meters. Assured car park. Many activities nearby: visit of cellars, kayaking, cycling,… for all ages. Two cots and two high chairs are available. A relaxation area with a 5-seater jacuzzi and a 6-seater hammam are available as an optional supplement of €50/day rental (with a minimum of €150 for 2 nights and €200 for 3 nights). Outdoor security camera.No party.

Fantastic house and pool in lovely location

Enjoyed a brilliant week in this lovely house. The swimming pool was a hit with kids and adults and plenty of outdoor space. Kitchen could do with a few more mugs and bowls when it’s a larger group. Check in and out process very easy and independent which helps when travelling a distance! A short walk from Azay le Rideau where you can enjoy restaurants and shops. Loved our stay here!

Weekend en famille à Cheillé

Très bon séjour dans une belle maison de famille, spacieuse bien équipée et bien située pour rayonner dans la région. L'extérieur est un vrai plus dont nous n'avons malheureusement pas pû profiter à cause du mauvais temps.

Très bon renseignement avec la propriétaire Cécile qui a toujours été réactive a nos questions Le logement est très grand seul petit bémol les douches et toilettes n étaient pas très propre sans doute un oubli mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de passer un agréable séjour Le plus tout est à porte de main visite du château à côté commerce à proximité aussi

The property was huge and excelled our hopes and what the information stated. The location was perfect being close to a town with good shops and beautiful chateau. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Plenty of outdoor furniture and adequate kitchen utensils. What an amazing venue. The electric power went off and the owner was easy to contact and it was sorted all within 20 minutes. Easy parking and great communication throughout the booking and with detailed instructions to access the property. Would love to return

QUIETUDE

Maison très agréable, grands espaces, notamment les chambres, salon et séjour. Trois escaliers qui favorise l'indépendance des chambres. Jardin agréable, bien organisé pour les pots en terrasse et les repas en extérieur.

très beau séjour

c'est une belle maison, grande, très spacieuse tant à l'extérieur qu'à l'intérieur. Parfaitement propre à notre arrivée. Linge fourni, un plus très appréciable.quantité de mobiliers adaptée. Il faudrait peut-être rajouter des recommandations concernant l'entretien de la piscine, telles que la durée du nettoyage avec le robot.A noter aussi les réponses immédiates faites par nos correspondants. excellent séjour

Lovely family house

This spacious, comfortable house was perfect for our extended family of 9. It is well equipped with everything we needed, lots of seating , great pool, plenty of outdoor space. It is not luxurious but is family friendly with nothing too fragile or easily damaged. We had no issue with cleanliness. The area is lovely with lots to see and do within easy reach. Azay le Rideau is a 10 minute stroll with its range of shops and restaurants. We did not meet Cecile but communication with her was prompt and helpful. All in all we great time and I would certainly recommend this house.

Lovely stay

Lovely house in good condition with easy walk to Azay le Rideau. Very similar feedback to other reviews - noticed little things like some broken crockery and freezer door but this was no problem with spares and expected when renting a big house in summer. We were 3 families (4 children) - the kids all slept in the bunk bed room and one couple slept in the slightly separate building but this was fine. There are three bedrooms in main house close to the bunk bed room if kids are younger. Cheillé bakery was shut for August but easy to walk into Azay L R - we went into the chateau too and canoed from the river bar. And travelled further one day to Puy du Fou. A great stay!

Great for a large group

There was more than enough room for sleeping for our group of 8. The kitchen was small but there was an open flame bbq fireplace that made for a great dinner when all of the local restaurants were closed. Strange hours in the neighboring village of Azay de Richeau. Our house was a very short 1/2 mil walk into the village. The house seemed to be several smaller apartments blended together which gave the house a strange flow. Plenty of refrigerator space and freezer too (for making ice). No air conditioning but plenty of fans to use. Very centrally located in the Loire valley to see wineries and cities and hot air balloon rides. It’s located on a busy street so sleeping with the windows open was a problem for one bedroom. Garage space for one car and a large lot nearby for others. It could use a little TLC in that the decor was bland and outdoor areas could use some sprucing up. We did not pay for access to the hot tub/hammam so I can’t comment on that. Owner was great with recommendations.

Demeure spacieuse et accueil chaleureux

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la demeure de Cécile, laquelle a été très flexible avec notre petit groupe contraint de s’adapter aux mesures sanitaires. Nous la remercions vivement pour l’accueil chaleureux dont elle a fait preuve (des produits locaux nous ont été offerts à notre arrivée). La maison est très grande et appréciable. Il y’a quasiment autant de chambres que de salles de bains et l’espace détente est très agréable (jaccuzzi et Hammam). Un barbecue est à disposition, la cuisine est très bien equipee tout comme le reste de la maison. Une piscine est en cours de construction et va ravir les locataires cet été ! Nous y retournerons volontiers. Le terrain est suffisamment grand pour jouer à la pétanque, au molky etc et il y a une grande salle de réception avec une belle terrasse exposée au soleil. La maison est pleine de charme avec ses vieilles pierres et son balcon. On ne s’y attend pas en voyant la devanture mais l’expression vivons heureux vivons cachés porte ici tout son sens. L’isolation est correcte et il y a pas mal de commodités à côté (une bonne boulangerie et une bonne épicerie, un super restaurant de Burgers aux halles, et une bonne pizzeria qui livre également). Great for an extended family holiday

We stayed with our children, their spouses and our grandchildren, 6 adults, 3 young children. The house was spacious. The large garden had plenty of room to play cricket, and there was room for inflatables in the pool. There were several outdoor and indoor seating areas. The kitchen was well equipped though a few more tea towels would have been useful. The house is in a fantastic location, walking distance (with young children) to the shops, restaurants and chateau of Azay le Rideau, and a boulangerie and bar/tabac in Cheille. There is parking over the road and we could always get a space. The night market in Azay on the Friday evening is worth a visit. We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the house: the sofas had clearly not been moved for cleaning (filthy when retrieving a toy that had rolled underneath) and there was a half eaten chocolate bar on a shelf and a wrapper under one of the beds. We had been told that we could not arrive before 6pm as a deep COVID clean was being done. This had not happened. The downstairs toilet didn’t always flush properly. The marble slab in the living room did not seem to be securely attached and could be a hazard. We were concerned to find a cctv camera directed at the pool, as we had not been told about this and what it was being used for. Overall we enjoyed our holiday.

Family reunion in the Loire Valley

Overall the property was suitable for our needs which was a large family gathering of 12 persons of all age groups. The facilities were provided that you could possibly need. The pool, steam room, hot tub and BBQ were the focus for the family especially as the weather was perfect. The pool is lovely. The house offers convenient location to local town and easy to drive to nearby sites. Car parking was available across the road. I was however, somewhat disappointed at the tired condition of some of the interior furniture, beds etc and we felt the house could of been cleaner for our arrival. There has not been a detailed clean I would suggest before our arrival, even the windows were all dirty. When I checked out the lady inspected the property standard we had left the house so not sure why the house cannot be at a higher standard of cleanliness. Using the pool and spa was very good but the English language VRBO site did not make clear there was an extra €750 for the use of when I booked. Only got told by owner two weeks before our stay. My other concern is why cctv has to be monitoring the pool, garden and outside seating area. I for one wanted privacy without the possibility of being monitored. In summary we all had a good holiday but could of easily been much better when you pay this amount for a holiday house. Communication with the host was fairly straightforward but it would be better to have someone greet you at property so the details can be easily understood.

Nous sommes accueillis avec une bouteille de crémant dans une maison de caractère et atypique où tout a été pensé pour le grand nombre d'occupants : lits, salle de bain, wc, place assises, table et matériel de cuisine jusqu'à l'espace bien être ? Le jardin clos assure une totale sécurité et tranquillité. On peut faire beaucoup de choses à pied comme la visite du château d'azay le rideau. Nous avons adoré !

La Balconiere

Endroit idéal pour une famille comme nous de personnes de tous âges,nous étions quinze et tout c est bien passé. Une interrogation sur la caméra extérieure ? Ne pas venir pour faire la fête car les maisons sont accolées et le bruit n est pas possible après 22 h.Maison très agréable et bien décorée,tout est prévu pour le nombre de personnes.Adresse à recommander à un groupe sérieux. Super sejour

Nous avons passé un séjour tres agréable. Il ne manque rien dans la maison de Cécile. Maison tres propre, tres bien placée . Tout etait parfait

Très agréable séjour

Nous étions un groupe d'amies pour le week-end et nous avons beaucoup apprécié le logement, très adapté aux groupes (grandes tables pour les repas, cuisine bien pensée, beaucoup de salles de bain) et avec beaucoup de charme, tout près du château d'Azur.
