Summary:
Nestled at the foot of Lookout Mountain, Lena Cabin offers a private hot tub, furnished back deck, covered front deck with a charcoal grill, and a private fire pit. It accommodates 6 guests and has a main bedroom, a sleeping loft and built-in bunk beds.
The Space:
Wauhatchie Woodlands is a family-owned collection of quaint, tiny-home, rustic-comfort log cabins on a 14-acre wooded property surrounded by National Park land. This natural setting is nested less than a mile from the city with quick access to downtown Chattanooga, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and the surrounding area.
Named after Frank & Nickel’s daughter, Lena Cabin is equipped with everything you could ever need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga.
Lena is one of our bunk bed cabins, perfect for families. During your stay, you’ll enjoy a private hot tub, furnished back deck, fire pit, covered front porch with charcoal grill, and an incredibly memorable, charming space surrounded by nature. Lena can comfortably sleep up to 6 guests between the main bedroom, built in bunk beds, and sleeping loft. The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, smart TV, and more.
Starting from the back, you’ll find the fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, there awaits a space of pure relaxation, your private hot tub, with easy access to the main bedroom. Just beside the cabin is the shared fire pit and pavilion, perfect for fireside chats and evening s'mores. Firewood can be purchased on-property.
Inside, the main bedroom hosts a queen bed, closets for hanging clothes, lots of drawer storage, and a Smart TV. Just outside the bedroom are the built in bunk beds across from the full bathroom with bathtub.
A step further we enter the kitchen, fully stocked for cooking/dining with an electric range, microwave, stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and all the dishes you need to whip up a vacation feast. The living room and kitchen feature an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings with the main TV across from the sofa.
Up the staircase is the sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds. Kids will love having their own space. For grownups, clearance in the loft is low, just 4' - it’s perfect for sleeping, just watch your head when you get up.
The cabin’s covered front porch with dining set is the perfect place for a morning cup of coffee, or grilling out on your dedicated charcoal grill (guests must provide their own charcoal).

This was a fun stay in Chattanooga. 1st time in a "small" house, but it was comfortable and enjoyable. Would certainly stay again if my travels brings me back to the area!
This location was perfect! We loved the playground and the fire bit! The cabin was a fun experience and SO clean, it fell almost brand new! We loved having the outdoorsy mountain feel but still being within minutes of downtown. We would recommend this stay to anyone and are looking forward to staying here again next time we visit the area!
It is super clean and in the lookout mountain! Air is so fresh!
You just need 2 mins drive to access the ruby falls.
And Chattanooga is such a nice and small city. You only need to drive about 10 mins to downtown and access all the awesome foods and bars!
The Hot tub in the picture looks small but it is actually big enough to hold 4 people! It is so enjoyable to watch the green forest, breath the fresh air, hear the birds' singing and stay in the warm water!
I really recommend this place to stay!

Trains, trains, trains
Every hour a train would come by the cabin. About 20 yards from the cabin. This went on all day and all night.
Very disruptive.
Awesome property. So clean, so well equipped, perfect location. You won’t be disappointed! Close to everything. Full disclosure: it is near a train track. Don’t let that influence your decision. We thought it of as a kind of cool thing. Got to see trains go by. Didn’t impact our stay at all. Thanks again for an awesome stay!
The cabin was very clean. Well stocked and well decorated. Could use more lights out back of the cabin. The road down to the playground is very steep. My dad wasn’t able to get up or down without the help of a vehicle. They changed our cabin last minute. The other one would have been better because it was on flat ground for my 5 year old and dad. But overall, I would stay here again.
We loved this property. Very close to all attractions but off the beaten path in a peaceful location. Very clean and loved the cabin. Highly recommend this property!
Loved the proximity to Chattanooga and hiking trails on Lookout Mountain. Much better option than a hotel because we had a hot tub, green space, a fire pit, and woods for us and the kids to explore. We stayed in the Lena cabin. It was great having a bigger place than a hotel so that we could have better "down time". Nice to have a full kitchen to work with. We saved money on meals vs. staying in a hotel, because we were able to do our own dinner (hot dogs and smores over the fire pit) and breakfast (stove top, oven, toaster, coffee maker, fridge, etc.). All in all, a great value and great place. Would stay in this community again, and the Lena cabin again.
Loved the trees, critters and cabin. Loved we were so close to Rock City, Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain and downtown. Enjoyed our week of relaxing and seeing the sites... great place to stay.
Cabin was perfect for us to stop on a very long road trip and rest...we are already talking about doing a full weekend

This little cabin in the woods was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for! We chose this over a hotel and couldn’t have been happier! It was super close to Ruby Falls and Chattanooga. Quiet, very clean, well stocked, private, comfortable, and was in such a neat setting at the base of Lookout Mountain. The hosts were very pleasant, easy to get a hold of, and provided a quick response. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub, loft, and playground. I appreciated all of the sleeping spaces that gave everyone room to spread out. Wish we could have stayed longer! We’ll definitely be booking again when we’re in the area!
This place was great. Very clean, all the amenities we needed and more, instructions were super clear and simple for check in, check out, Wi-Fi, etc. couldn’t have been happier. Thank you!!
