"Excellent location and well Maintained"

"Room was very well maintained. Location is tricky. Owner did send some kind of map but still needed his help to locate the exact room. GPS will get you close to the property but will need owners help to figure out the exact location of property. Keep the owners phone number handy before heading there. Property is on a slightly uphill and will need driving through unpaved road and curvy roads. While the photos are true that the backyard has wilderness, you cannot stay there even for few seconds...

"The cabin was very nice and beds were comfortable . The bed Linens were very cozy. So much privacy. Very peaceful and quiet. Also the cabin was very clean. It had everything we need. I totally recommend staying here👍"

"The room was basic and functional . The real problem we faced was there was zero connectivity from the room Neither cellular , nor WiFi . Check-in was not any problem but would help if the person at the reception is a bit more warm and receptive towards the guests . "

"We loved staying at the Talkeetna Lodge. The views of the mountains (including Denali) were spectacular!! The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly as were the servers in the restaurant. The only downside was there was one bartender (tattoos on face) who wasn't very friendly and seemed to have an attitude. Other than that, this was one of the best places we stayed in Alaska!! Thank you!"

"We had a lovely stay at Talkeetna. The room is big enough and the beds comfy and large. The shower is, unusual for Alaska, not fixed at the top so you can take it down which is a plus. The centre is just a 10 minute walk through the forest and the place perfect to explore the surroundings. The owner‘s family who are originally Swiss are lovely."

"The check in process was very clear. We appreciated the post it notes left out for us to label our kitchen items. We only stayed one night but did interact with other guests while we were there which led to a helpful tip on a fun activity! It is close enough to walk to downtown Talkeetna if you're willing to take a shortcut through the woods. Unless you're wearing mosquito netting be prepared to be swarmed on that part of the path. The accommodations are exactly as advertised. Everyone...

"The location was wonderful and this was our favorite lodging on our trip. We had some moose and a fox walk right past the porch and amazing views of the water. It was so peaceful. The check-in couldn't have been easier and very friendly staff. If we make it back to Alaska we will definitely stay here again!"

"The room was clean. Had to share 2 bathrooms with 7 other rooms. But bathrooms were clean too. A bedside table and bed with nothing else in room. The food was ridiculously expensive served on paper plates with plastic forks. Food was terrible tasting. Overcooked meat, undercooked eggs. Bad experience."

"Stay: Late-May, 2026 This place was fantastic! Perfect for what we were doing--a quick one-night stay in Talkeetna, and then on to Denali NP. This little cottage is every bit as quaint and charming as shown in the Expedia listing. The place is about 2.5 hours to Denali, so it's a great mid-stopping place to take in a great area. It's clean, well-appointed, aesthetically pleasing, and yet very utilitarian. If you're a couple just looking to "chill" for two or three days before you hit Denali...
