  • Tucked away in the peaceful countryside of Villiers-Les-Moines, this spacious holiday home is perfect for one or two families, comfortably hosting up to 10 guests across 4 bedrooms. Designed for relaxation, it features a private outdoor swimming pool (open June-September, weather permitting), a Jacuzzi, and a sauna-ideal for unwinding after a day of adventure. Nature lovers will enjoy the forest just 500 m away and lakeside outings 5 km from the home. The nearest supermarket and restaurants are 10 km away, while public transport is accessible at 15 km. Inside, cozy heating and a fireplace create a warm ambiance. The open kitchen and barbecue invite culinary creativity, and recreational amenities include table football, billiards, and table tennis. Children's bed and high chair are available on request, making it family-friendly. With on-site parking and a tranquil setting, this villa offers a rejuvenating escape in the heart of Burgundy.

The facilities are nice, kind couple and helpful when an issue with the power came up during our stay, was resolved within the day. The table tennis, pool table, jacuzzi and sauna compensated for the less than ideal weather. Only tip I have is for the pool cues to be replaced. Definitely would recommend!

There is everything you need to make a wonderful holiday: bicycle, barbecue, whirpool, sauna, table tennis, The children were happy in the separated room with table football and billiard. Een hartelijk welkom door de eigenaars - super rustig gelegen en een heel aangenaam huis - koel en super net. Op tien meter een kabbelend riviertje wat voor goede afkoeling zorgt. Een zalig zwembad, jacuzzi, biljart, tafeltennis - kortom alles om een geslaagde vakantie te hebben. Daarnaast in een prachtige omgeving - 's avonds kan je op 500 m hertjes en vosjes zien - ook bevers gezien. Kortom een geslaagde vakantie en meer dan de moeite waard om te boeken. We hopen dat we terug kunnen komen. Proficiat voor de eigenaars.

Not quite there yet

We were informed that we could not arrive before 4pm on Saturday as the property would be cleaned and prepared before this time. On arrival it was obvious that this was not the case. The entrance gate had rubbish bins overflowing with trash in 40 degrees heat. The front garden was overgrown with weeds. The back garden was full of stinging nettles and the lawn overgrown. On Sunday morning the owner arrived and mowed the lawn and cut the nettles back at 9am. The hot tub had flooded the room before our arrival and this had to be emptied. Once re- filled and heated it would have cooked anyone entering it, so for safety reasons none of our party used it at all. The water leaking on the floor left the whole room smelling dreadful with the hot sunshine. The above games room was simply too hot to use and no fans or air con were available. This was also the case in the bedrooms which were exceptionally hot. There are only two available toilets, both of which are in the main house on the first and second floors. Not very useful with 3 grandchildren under 8yrs needing to be accompanied from the pool area regularly! No locks on the bathroom doors and in the case of at least two bedrooms the doors did not close properly. A property advertised for a party of 10 yet surprisingly no more than 5 seats in the sitting room available. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment but connected to the dining room by a set of highly varnished stairs without a handrail making it difficult to carry food plates etc up and down safely. This resulted in one of our party having a fall during the week. Please do not let this happen to anyone else and install a handrail! The swimming pool is exceptional. Very clean although required attention when the filter stopped working due to hot weather lowering the water level. The patio area directly outside the kitchen, leading to the garden is broken and uneven. Not acceptable for elderly or young children to walk on. All of these problems can be resolved with some care and attention, unfortunately not in time for our family holiday.
