Beautiful

We had a wonderfull experience at Cessnock Vintage Motor Inn . The place was near to the Hunter valley gardens and the host was very friendly and helpful .

This motel was satisfactory for our one night stay. Checking in was easy and Michael was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but a bit dated. The beds were comfortable. The only negative for us was the ancient airconditioner on the wall. It could not be programmed with the remote and we had to ask Michael to set the temperature for us. During the night when it cut in it sounded like a helicopter taking off and woke us up repeatedly. Eventually we had to just turn it off and hope the room didn’t get too cold. I would stay again only if I could be guaranteed a room with a quiet air conditioner.

I arrived with the rubbish bin un-empty, thus explains the poor review & I reckon the AC needs cleaning as it triggered my hayfever after having it on for one whole night. Otherwise, everything else was good.

The new owners are trying hard, but....the lighting in the room was very ordinary and the advertised wifi was intermittent at best. I understand this is about to be upgraded but is still being advertised as available on Expedia. Parking was tight, I was squeezed between two big vehicles. The good news: management is friendly and helpful, the cleanliness can’t be faulted and it’s surprisingly quiet.
