Earthwork known as "The Trendle" atop the Cerne Abbas Giant hill, overlooking Cerne Abbas village in Dorset, South-West England.
Later 15th century probably by abbot John Vanne (1458-70). History says that this is where Queen Margaret stayed on her return from France to try to get the throne back for her husband Henry VI. She failed and spent the four years in prison before being ransomed by France where she died in 1482.
