Figtree Cottage - peaceful rural holiday

  • Come and stay at Figtree cottage set on rural property just a short walk or drive to Mystery bay beach for swimming/snorkeling/ diving and walking with your canine friend.
    The cottage has 2 bedrooms with QB in each(blankets/doonas/electric blankets/pillows are supplied.
    Sheets, towels and pillowcases supplied
    Separate bathroom/toilet and laundry
    Fully self contained kitchen with all utensils supplied Fridge/electric stove/ microwave/ toaster and jug
    Lounge room with TV/DVD player and large dining room with CD player/books/jigsaws/and reverse cycle air conditioning
    Veranda and patio to relax and unwind and to enjoy the sounds of the many birds and the peacefulness with the rural views and established garden and our very old figtree
    Gas and wood barbeques are available.
    We are situated 10 minutes drive north to Narooma 20 min drive south to Bermagui with Central Tilba close by. Eurobodalla National Park is close too with good beach fishing off 1080 beach also swimming and a long walk to mouth of Tilba Lake.

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Figtree Cottage for 8 nights. It felt like a real home away from home. It is very comfy and spacious with lovely pastoral views over the property; and has all you need for when you come home after exploring the local area and just want to relax. The property is ideally situated, being very close to beautiful Mystery Bay and halfway between Narooma and Bermagui with all they have to offer. Our hosts Betty and Colin were lovely and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We look forward to staying again in the future.

A lovely place to stay with a tranquil atmosphere inside and out. A well equipped kitchen with great views over country to Bermagui and the ocean. Close to great beaches and interesting towns. Thoroughly recommend this place for anyone looking for a rest and recharge.

We loved our time here. A big house, with plenty of room for kids and a beautiful property too look out over. So close to Mystery Bay and Tilba. Betty was such an accommodating host and even posted us a few things we left behind. Great spot for a family holiday.

Lovely experience in a special place

Our first time at Figtree Cottage - although we know the area well - exceeded all expectations. The house is comfortable and perfectly equipped for a holiday stay, including being a safe, pet-friendly environment for our small dog, and the views and peacefulness of the location are lovely. The host responded to questions promptly and helpfully, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We loved it!

Totally relaxed here- location and casual , unpretentious nature of accommodation was perfect for us . Had everything we needed to self cater as well as have a couple over for lunch. Gorgeous views and amazing fig tree!

Tranquil farm stay

This is a fantastic place to stay. Betty is a wonderful host and everything about the property was 5 star. It was great to be able to take our puppy with us and he thoroughly enjoyed playing with Betty's dog. We would highly recommend Figtree Cottage and look forward to returning. The tranquility of the farm coupled with the close proximity to the beach makes this property a win win place to stay

Pet friendly holiday property near the beach

This property was extremely clean and well presented. It was a short drive to the beach and to the delights of Tilba. The beds, linen and pillows were so comfortable they are worth noting. Betty, the property owner, was extremely kind and welcoming. She was available if needed but otherwise unobtrusive.

Tranquil Paradise

Had a lovely stay. Betty was friendly and welcoming. House was very clean with everything we needed. Convenient to Narooma, Tilba and Bermagui. Lovely being able to take our dog for a walk down to the beach. Probably not for those who want to party but perfect for a relaxing break.

Home Away from Home

It is call proper peace and relax destination. We enjoyed our 2 nights with ultimate comfort. My daughter loved to run around the backyard and explore flowers and several type of fruits. Beach is just 2 min drive away. Betty and Collin are also like minded host. It was our absolute pleasure to stay their place..

Fig Tree Cottage

We enjoyed our week's stay at Figtree Cottage which is only two minute drive from Mystery Bay Beach and short drive to Tilba, Cobargo and Narooma. The Cottage provided a peaceful and relaxing get away. When not out and about - we kept warm in the cosy heated lounge and dining areas. There's a TV with a dvd player, plus books and board games. The beds were comfy and had electric blankets.

An oldy but a goody

Fig Tree Cottage was a lovely clean little place over looking a beautiful rural countryside and all the way to the ocean. It had a big closed in yard that my four year old cavoodle loved. It was the first time i had been away by myself. It was absolutely amazing my dog and i had the best time. A short walk to the beach saw whales nearly every day. A Hidden Gem

The property is beautiful and the house is a neat, clean little cottage with most of the mod cons. The view is terrific and I’ll miss it when we get home. Betty is a wonderful host on arrival and then left us alone to enjoy the peace and birds in the area. The surrounding towns of Tilba Tilba and Bermagui are lovely with great food and pubs. The Bermagui Beach Hotel is a great place for a beer and the Boneless Cafe for coffee and breakfast. The beaches are pet friendly for the most part and spectacular to just swim or relax. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing Weekend at Figtree Cottage

Figtree Cottage was a great place to stay for the two of us and our fur baby. The cottage is surprisingly large, clean and comfortable. Hot water in seconds. We liked the semi-rural nature of the property as it was quiet but close to the beach (short walk) and a short ride to either Central Tilba or Narooma. I'm pretty sure our dog had a great time too and was very interested in the cows that graze in the adjoining paddock at the cottage. The owners Betty and Colin live next door (I didn't initially realise this) and are very friendly and not at all intrusive. All in all, highly recommended.
