"Great stay at Carmel Mission Inn! Had a room with balcony that faced the pool. It just so happened to be movie night both nights we stayed, so we could watch the movie from our balcony! Beautiful view of the hills as well. Room was nice, clean, modern decor, with the typical amenities. Staff was friendly, easy check in (which lucky for us was earlier than the check in time), and check out. Didn't use the pool or gym. Did use room service with the restaurant on site. Very quick and yummy, but pricey. Location was across the parking lot to the Barnyard, super convenient for dining, not so much for places to shop there though. Across the street was a shopping center with CVS, Safeway, other shops and places to eat. About 10 minutes or less to Carmel By the Sea, and about 15-20 minutes to Monterey. "

"The room was not clean when I got in. Clearly the glitter on the side table overlooked by staff. I was exhausted from driving so I just laid down and woke up because the thermostat was malfunctioning and I couldn’t get it to work so at 76 degrees I was roasting. Called the front desk at 1:00 in the morning and Adam couldn’t fix it either and started to scold me about not calling right away and why didn’t I open the window? I was exhausted and fell asleep that’s why, and I didn’t open the window because I needed quiet and I was in a room next to the elevator and people talking. He offered me another room at 1:30 in the morning and I declined because my stuff was out and that would have meant gathering everything, totally waking up and not getting proper sleep for all I had to do in the morning. How is it that a 20 year old staff gets to scold a guest about how they should behave? I called the front desk in the morning and she was equally as rude, telling me I “refused” to move IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT— Let me make this clear. I did not REFUSE. I hoped I could get through the night— What I want to know is when did Best Western make it a policy to be rude to guests and make it the guest’s fault for not being up to par. After the morning call I tried to sleep until check out, put the privacy tag on my door and just as I fell to sleep, maintenance completely ignoring my DO NOT DISTURB sign. I mean, what is this? I have to pay for rudeness and disrespect? "

"Beautiful hotel, clean rooms, efficient elevators, location is perfect. Jacks restaurant was delicious! Would definitely come back again! "

"The Spyglass Inn was a perfect location for my wife and I. The room with an ocean view balcony was great. Nice walkway to the adjoining hotels. Will definitely stay here again. "

"It was probably my fault for not paying better attention but there was no iron, no desk in the room, or even a small table. I was there for a work trip and it was very difficult without a desk or table to work from. What hotel doesn’t have a table or desk? The stay was quiet and the room was clean. It is located in the center of town which is nice. But probably won’t ever stay again due to the outdated /dark room and missing necessary amenities. On top that they charge a resort fee. :("
