"The rooms are good, beds comfortable and everthing you need except drinking water. The pool is really good clean and warm. The island is beautiful and walks are great except for the flies and midges. The play park is nice and tennis court is good as rackets and balls are provided. Food average not as good as other places I have stayed. I brought my car across on the ferry and then couldnt get off the island till 3.10pm after checking out at 10.30. Guests were supposed to be informed the day before that the ferry would not be running after 10.00am. I was not informed and we had to hang around till 3.10pm."
"Room was great just abit dated, however clean spacious had everything you need. Staff were reslly friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them they went above and beyond. Food was fantastic bar staff were great will definately stay here again great location."
"We booked the Presidential Suite as part of our honeymoon. Upon arrival there were issues with the room. We travel regularly and stay in 5* hotels. We believe the measure of any hotel is not how they relate to us when all as it should be but rather how they handle any issues that arise.
We had a senior manager arrive in our suite within 15 minutes of us raising our concerns. We decided that moving to a different room was the easiest option and this was done swiftly and without any fuss. The remainder of our stay was simply perfect. We enjoyed room service breakfast each morning. It arrived hot thanks to the small heated boxes that came with each trolley. We ate in all 3 of the hotel restaurants and the food was well presented and delicious each time. We'd particularly like to mention James, the Catalina Restaurant Manager as his professionalism and attention shown to us made our dining experience even more special. Davy, the Concierge also deserves a mention for his friendly demeanour and helpfulness shown to us. We can't wait to return for another stay."
"We were greeted by Johnny who was a superb host. Our room was large with a balcony and chairs. The community center was adjacent to the property with a walking track which was fabulous on overcast days when you want to walk but not get caught in the rain. We had asked if there was a refrigerator we could keep a few things in and within an hour or two Johnny’s dad John had bought a new refrigerator for us to use. We stayed for a week and had somewhere to explore daily. The water pressure and hot water were great in the shower. We truly enjoyed our stay and John and Johnny were super hosts. 🌹"
"We only found Cavanans by accident, but we’re so glad we did. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We particularly liked that they could be accessed from both the internal corridor and the courtyard, making it incredibly easy to pull the car right up outside the room to unload and load luggage.
The hotel has its own bar and restaurant, and both were excellent. The food was delicious, and the breakfast was amazing and very reasonably priced.
What really made our stay stand out was the staff. Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful from the moment we arrived. The hotel was very well staffed, so there was never any waiting for service, and nothing was too much trouble.
We had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cavanans to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly place to stay. We will definitely be back."
Lakeside Cottage In Kesh with panoramic views over Lough Erne,
10/10 Excellent
"Overall the property is great. The views over the lough are beautiful. The cottage is pet friendly but the garden isn't so he always had to go out on his lead for a pee each time.We double checked about a hot tub with the owner before completing payment and it was confirmed there is not one, although it still has it on the website amenities. Our week there was great as we had glorious weather. The teenagers loved it too."
"Most important was the friendly pleasant staff . The hotel is comfortable with everything you need provided in your room . Meals are excellent .Our second visit and we will definitely return again. Good Northern Irish humour and stories with staff and
customers . Fabulous relaxing weekend"
