This is literally a Motel 6. Staff was nice. It’s old. Not the cleanest. Rooms, including suites are tiny. It is what it is. Would I stay here again? Yes, but I’m not under any illusions, I know what I’m getting into and for me it’s fine for a bed to sleep on for a few hours. Just a couple minutes from the Ford Center.
booked a suite as it had a couch. get to the hotel to find that the suites are all on the second floor with no elevator. I have bad arthritis in both knees and we were traveling with our two dogs. Taking them out down two flights of stairs multiple times during our stay would not be easy. I asked for a ground floor room. They don't have any suites on the ground floor. I said this is fine, really just wanted more space than a bed to relax after days on the road. They also told me all their handicap rooms are on the second floor. How does that make sense? I watched a man with crutches climb two flights of stairs! The pet area was absolutely disgusting!! Can not stress this enough. I don't think poop has ever been picked up here!!! I felt horrible taking my dogs out to potty. I have seen bigger showers in RV's. The room was clean for the price. People were for sure living here. Kids and dogs running around everywhere. Random BBQ's in strange places. Lots of "activity". Room was extremely hot when we opened it. I had to turn off the HVAC and open a window as the AC had a sign on it that it was not set up yet. As usual, no fan in the bathroom and I swear all the bathroom lights were heat lamps. Never felt fully safe here. Check in was slow, I dont think the man had ever used an iPad or the system before.
The hotel is in pretty bad shape; peeling paint, dog poo in the grass trash in the walkways. My first room had only one usable outlet (across from the bed) no hot water or towels, a broken sink and a significant dip in the bed. My second room had one more outlet and towels for the shower but it must have been a smoking room from the smell and marks on the counter in the bathroom. The knob for the shower was loose and went all the way around and was a bit of a challenge to get just right. The room did get cool for my sleep and the dip in the bed was not as bad as the other room. Not sure if a remodel could save this place! But new mattresses and adequate access to towels and electrical outlets might be a good start.
Truly disgusting. Dirt on bathroom wall and in shelves. The kitchen had both ants and roaches. At least the beds were clean and comfortable, but otherwise this was seriously disappointing.
Room was in terrible condition. Dirty rag in the bathroom floor, floors led out socks black, nasty stains in shower. The whole property looks like it’s falling apart and nasty. Somebody literally got arrested during our stay.
Felt unsafe the entire time we were there, one of the worst hotel experiences of my life.
Disgusting floors, fridge wasnt very cold, you could hear the trucks on the highway, hot plate to cook but no kitchen ware. Trash everywhere in the parking lot

Disliked: Amenities
There was a little bit of communication barrier. Some things I said were misunderstood. Not too bad, just a little irritating

Just a cheap hotel
Heater did not work. Refrigerator did not work. Hot water was barely hot. It did have a nice TV. It was 36 degrees out side so it was very cold in the room. My food I brought in went bad.
The photos in the listing do not represent tge conditions of this property. The grounds are trashed. It has been turned in to long term living on the first floor. The maintenance and upkeep for the room is lacking (understatement). The last time i stayed here it was clean, well kept, and you got the feeling that your stuff wasn't going to be stolen, that is no longer the case. The ac/heating unit is up against the bed and doesn't work. Go to a different hotel before choosing this one.

Stove top barely got hot/took forever. No heat in room - they gave me a portable electric heater.

Dirty & In Poor Repair
The room was so dirty and it smelled terrible. We bought two candles and burned them during the whole stay. The plank flooring had been repaired, but glue was left of the floor in the bathroom, and there was a lot of hair stuck in it. There were holes in the walls where old lights were removed. Other larger holes were covered, but not well. The shower was awful and dirty. The towels were all stained. We asked for new ones and they were just as dirty. We bought new ones so we didn’t have to use theirs. The couch was torn up by what I’m assuming was a cat. The sink backed up when in use. The smell of the room improved after we asked for a mop and cleaned the floors ourselves. I didn’t see a cleaning person until we had been there for 3 days. We paid for 7 days, but left after 3.
The two things that did work: AC and hot water.
