"Location and distance to the beach were best qualities "

"The shower had a fold down bench which was nice for a Senior but having the separate hand held shower head mounted next to the seat was awkward. There was also a shower head on the opposite wall. The pool and hot tub area was closed at dusk which was disappointing. Also, at 10:30 am the breakfast was cold considering service was available until 11 am. The coffee at that time was cold. The waitress was helpful but the coffee was bad. Our room was in the new wing and it was beautifully appointed."

"The keyless check in was a disaster, consuming much pre-arrival customer time, only to be overridden with a physical key being issued in the end. Obtaining the key required traveling to a sister hotel over a mile away. We were told "They were having internet problems". The coffee machine had a cup of stale coffee in the overflow well. There was poor communication in the room about the location of items like the ice machine. It turns out the machine was a block away in a separate building. And so it went. The bright spot was the woman managing the breakfast activity. She was very attentive and helpful, albeit too late to address the above mentioned issues. No one was available as the mentioned events were unfolding. Yes, its 2026, and we understand staffing is an issue and technology is king. Unfortunately "customer service', a reason to stay at any property, has suffered as a result. At this property it seems to have all but disappeared. The bottom line? We will not be using EXPEDIA or staying at this facility on our next visit to Apalachicola."

"The beach is the only thing that makes the place worth it, floors are filthy bathrooms not cleaned. Specially bathroom floor looked like it had never been cleaned. Stove didn’t work was not able to cook in it after buying food to cook had to eat out."

"If you are looking for a great place to relax and fish without all the hustle and bustle, this is your spot. The house is neat and the kitchen is well stocked. The walk to the beach is easy."
