"Very beautiful, cozy hotel; very clean, with helpful staff; centrally located and within walking distance of shopping and restaurants; ample parking available. Please note that the rooms have no refrigerator or microwave; however, it's OK, just FYI"

"Basic but functional room. Check in was fine but a man of few words."

"Close to town of Carlow"

"This was our second stay at Kilkea and it did not disappoint! Staff is incredible, food amazing and the atmosphere is absolute magic!"

"This is a centrally located hotel in Kilkenny with a good bar featuring live music. Rooms are quite large and comfortable but are dated and could use a face lift. The lobby was jammed with a bus tour during check in so that was a poor experience for us as the desk was jammed and the lift was too. Breakfast was included but the restaurant only opened at 7 and out. Us to Dublin was at 7:15 so we were out of luck. Welcome cocktail was a sweet fruity affair that couldn’t be swapped for a different...

"Kilkea Castle was a wonderful stay. Last minute we booked a room in the Lodges; unfortunately, the actual Castle was all booked up. This didn’t lessen the experience though. The lodge room was clean, comfortable, well-appointed and had a fairway view. We were also able to use the facilities in the castle itself. We weren’t there to golf and that was just as well as the course was closed for maintenance. As a golfer the course did look like a premium course, and I’d love to go back for...

"I loved the charm of this hotel. The staff was lovely and helpful. It was close to everything, walking distance from nearly all main attractions. They do not have a lift but staff will bring your luggage to your room. There a several flights of stairs so not for those who have mobility issues. My room was clean and oozed old world charm. The bathroom seemed to have been newly renovated. This is where some little things were missed: no towel racks at all, no shelves or trays to put shampoo,...

"Bedroom was a really good size. Good storage space with a safe and fridge. The bathroom had both a bath and separate shower. Really good choice of Gluten Free food available both for breakfast and evening meals."

"Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice."

"Amazing place would highly recommend. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are amazing. Food was excellent"

"Excellent stay as always."

"The room was not perfectly clean, but the view was beautiful, and the location was perfect- right in between the bus stop and the main attractions of the city. So close to everything! The staff was kind enough to keep our luggage while we toured after we had checked out. The pub was perfect after a day of wandering"

"Got a kid and still want a nice hotel stay? Newpark is it. The food is great, and it feels like a date night but caters to kids. Had a great stay"

"Stunning, clean smelling room that was immaculately prepared. The bed was very comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water and power. Breakfast was delicious."

"Great communication. Great property, would 100% stay again."
