"We had a fantastic stay! Our host was wonderful—very responsive and easy to communicate with from start to finish. The property was exactly as described and matched the photos perfectly, which made everything seamless upon arrival.We especially appreciated how private the rental is—it truly feels like a getaway. We would absolutely stay here again.One thing to note: a 4x4 vehicle is required to access the property, but it’s well worth it once you arrive."

"We had a very relaxing stay. Good communication with the host/property manager. Wildlife all around…monkeys, toucans and scarlet macaws. Couple power outages, but didn’t spoil our fun. House had a battery backup which was great. Pool was AWESOME! House was well equipped. Location was perfect…loved the local restaurant suggestions. Overall it was WONDERFUL!"

"We loved our stay at Villa Lucia! It was in a great, safe location and close to waterfalls, shopping, and the whales tail. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the hummingbirds, toucans, and butterflies. The sunsets were amazing too! I recommend a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the road easily."

"Lovely little riverfront casitas. It’s a bit removed from restaurants and bars but it gives you the option to prepare your own meals or the hosts provide some food offerings as well. Everything is in great condition and well thought out. Our stay here was great. It was so relaxing going to sleep with the sounds of the river. "

"Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa Tranquilo. Ralph the host communicated often before and after booking, as well as throughout our stay. Nacho, the property manager, was top notch. He was available at the drop of a hat for anything, and I mean anything. We even didn’t get to the property until around 1:30 am and Nacho was at the property to make sure we could get in and situated. We had a couple minor maintenance items that we told Nacho about and they were very promptly taken care of. The property is amazing! If you want to feel like you are truly in the rainforest by yourself, but with all of the amenities, then we highly recommend this property! "

Vayu Retreat Villas

"Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Everything has been perfectly considered - design and integration of technology (most notably the lighting and sound systems). The pool is lovely for a dip to cool off, but beaches are close if you want the sea. 12 minutes drive is a cute set of cafe/restaurants, however the food on site is delicious. The set breakfast (changing daily) and dinner (and additional $60pp for set three-courses) were simple but excellently executed and tasty. The star of this place is Marc - he is Vayu. The amount of care and love he has put into their baby (sorry we didn't meet Rafael) projects into the care and attention he respectfully gives his guests throughout their stay. He is always on hand to assist, and nothing is ever too much trouble for him to help with. We would recommend staying here for a quiet and relaxing few days. A perfect end to a fantastic holiday. "
