"Casa Tranquilo was just as advertised- paradise in paradise. The place seems quite new, with very modern, clean, and luxurious design. Loved that there was so much glass to let in sunlight and appreciate the natural setting. Felt like we were literally in the jungle. Really liked that the windows all had screens including the sliding doors, and all bedrooms had blinds to create privacy as needed or block out light. Each of the rooms have their own mini split AC which was great. Furniture was new. Kitchen was fantastic and well stocked. Plenty of linens including beach towels. Ralph was very communicative, making sure to check in on us periodically up until the trip and during the trip. Nacho, who is the host/concierge, was fantastic to work with. He met us and drove us up to the place which would have been difficult to find the first time, but very secluded in a gated setting. He had basic groceries already in the fridge including milk, juice, some fruit, and even bought a couple bottles of wine to welcome us. He made sure everything was taken care of for us and was very responsive. The location was perfect for us as we wanted to visit both Corcovado and Manuel Antonio, along with scuba diving at Cano island which was a boat trip out of Uvita. All in all, we had a fantastic time and Ralph and Nacho made sure that Casa Tranquilo was the perfect place to rest at the end of some very busy days. "

"Beautiful home in the thick of the jungle. A nature lover’s paradise. We watched the toucans, parrots and hummingbirds while drinking morning coffee on the deck. We even had some monkeys visit several times. There are so many windows, you can enjoy nature from inside the home. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! "

"Wonderful week! We saw many animals around the property such as monkeys, toucans, green parrots, lizards and much more! The place had an amazing view and the pool was perfect to sit by and swim on the humid days. We would definitely come back! Phillippe was very helpful and kind. "Juan and Ana made us feel so welcome to their tropical oasis in the jungle. Now if you are looking for a place with A/C and giant TVs this is not for you. If you want to sleep immersed in the sounds of jungle, with a steam running along the property, this is the place! We have traveled the whole of Costa Rica now; this is our favorite place so far! We stayed here 3 nights of our last leg of a 14 days trip, we relaxed in the pool, amazing beautiful beaches near by, playa hermosa was my favorite, grab a pizza there too! Breakfast was made to order each morning, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and tea. They even helped us with our laundry needs. I can’t wait to come back!!"

"Wonderful place near Ojochal! So beautiful. The property is really unique and the owner takes amazing care of it. Such neat touches - the bathroom is really beautiful with handmade clay features. Hot water! The owner blows off all the leaves on the walkways daily which I think must help with the fact that we had no insects. Property is super tight. Kitchen has all essentials and we were able to make meals. No monkeys seen but heard the howlers and there were tons of birds of all kinds. Lots of toucans. And I finally got to see a red eyed tree frog! Property is beautifully landscaped and if you take a walk down the road you'll find even more incredible birds including the montezuma bird. Had a fun dining experience on a Friday evening in Ojochal listening to live music during dinner. Highly recommend!"

"We absolutely loved this place. Vayu Retreat is a very charming and quiet mini hotel with only 4 beautiful rooms, a great infinity pool, spacious terrasses to relax and a nice restaurant. The service from Marc is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is done with taste and the place has all the amenities you will need."
