"Fern Creek cabin and property is peaceful, idyllic, and tidy. We enjoyed being off the beaten path, yet close enough to great trails, Fayetteville, and activities in many directions. The cabin was well-equiped should we need anything, and clean and tidy. The hosts/caretaker were responsive to questions that arose. The hot tub was clean and relaxing after long days on trails. I enjoyed the porch facing the pond, and walking the property, a rainstorm, and loads of toads! My son loved his comfy bed, the decor, and reading the guest books. There's so much to do in the parks and area, we would love to stay at Fern Creek again for an extra day just to enjoy the cabin."

"The cabin is so close to everything we wanted to see but was so private. Others have mentioned the steep drive up to it but it wasn't bad at all. We were pleasantly surprised of how private it was. Couldn't see anything but trees and woods. Would stay there again. Be sure to check out Pies and Pints for some good pizza and salad."

"This host was very responsive if we had any questions, and the property is in a great location! It's within a short distance to all the hot spots (Cathedral Café, Cathedral Falls, New River Gorge Nat'l Park, Ace Adventure Resort, Thurmond, etc.). We traveled from out of state and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Stokes Stay had everything we needed and the hot tub was EVERYTHING. We had kiddos with us and they enjoyed it as well. They especially loved the pull-out couches and had a movie night. We had a total of six people and there was plenty of space. We utilized the washer, dryer, stove, and oven, and coffee maker. The home is well stocked and there wasn't anything we needed to grab at the store besides food. This home was PERFECT and exactly what we needed after a long day of driving and exploring. We will certainly be back if we adventure that way again!"
