"This hotel is newly renovated, modern and clean. The reception is very friendly and accommodating. Its in a great location with everything in walking distance. We loved our stay in Coimbra. The people are nice, less crowded and laid back, relaxing."

"The location of the hotel is perfect. Right next to Biblioteca Joanina! Talk about a short walk to a national monument! Great restaurants are close by including the restaurant at the hotel. It was easy to walk the whole city and see and do everything we had on our list. The rooftop deck had amazing views too. The patio outside the restaurant was also very comfortable and inviting. They even have a pet turtle in a water feature in the patio area. "

"This is an extraordinary place just like the photo. I was greeted with sparkling wine and cake and offered the whole bottle the following day. It is in a very challenging place in old Coimbra so you need to be reasonably fit although another lovely lady walking her dog helped me out the next night when i was lost"

"It is an old hotel with very, very small rooms but it is adequate for a 1 night stay. The bathroom is also small but clean and the shower was good. There is a roof top bar area and also a bar area inside where an adequate breakfast is served. "

In addition, a staff member who said they had been working there for only two months was rude and unprofessional in their attitude.
