"This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. "Great location near Monteverde—close to hiking and nature, yet peaceful and private. One morning we even spotted green parrots from the back of the home, which was a lovely surprise. The property is new and well-maintained, with a smart layout that worked well for our family. We appreciated the 1.5 bathrooms and access to a washer and dryer, which made our stay more convenient. "Alan's house was a wonderful place to base our family (w/ 2 kids, 6 and 9) for visiting Santa Elena and Monteverde; it is a very charming spot with breath-taking views, my boys loved having breakfast and spotting rainbows our first morning. The house was spotless and the kitchen very well-equipped (with cookware and cutlery in excellent condition). Alan and his wife were extremely gracious hosts, always easy to contact and eager to help. We hope to come back soon!"
