The house itself was ideal for our group. Great neighborhood, perfect location. extremely well stocked kitchen, very nice of the property manager to provide TP/paper towels/spices. For a historic home, the bathrooms were nicely sized. The listing doesn't thoroughly explain it, but the rental is a duplex. If you had small children, you might not be happy with them having to go outside to get to their bedrooms. It is essentially two 2 BR homes, one obviously newer than the other. The primary home has not had a deep clean in some time. Cobwebs, mold in a shower, very dusty bookshelves. I spent 2 to 3 hours cleaning one afternoon in preparation for our guests. I would urge the homeowners to upgrade all of the bedding. I am fairly certain that there was not a comfortable bed on the property, all were old and very hard. The pillows were hard and the bedspreads a little tired looking. I must admit that given the obvious lack of deep cleaning, I questioned how frequently the bedding was washed.That said, this is a really great house with so much potential, and we thoroughly enjoyed its prime location and amenities. With just a little more effort, it would be perfect.
