"The beautifully appointed, new and spacious room with a 'side-view' of the Mediterranean Sea was incredible! The staff was super helpful with securing a driver, Enzo, (who was also terrific, by the way!) for a day trip to Basilica San Calogero and the wonderful recommendation to dine at Otto Restaurant just two doors away. It was by far the most phenomenal Sicilian dinner! You must buy your Sicilian ceramics sold in shops where the artisans are actually creating them in the back and for much less than found in major cities! Grandpa's village did not disappoint!"
"Excellent location with wonderful staff and an overall exceptional experience!
9/10 overall - it’s only let down by a host of small maintenance issues accross the site"
"The resort went above and beyond.
We used the property as a home base for three days of travelling the region. Parking for our rental car was available behind a locked gate that we were given a code to.
Our room was well appointed.
A combination of couples and families attended the resort.
The morning breakfasts (included) were great to start to our days. We noticed there was a good combination of food (sweet and savoury), juices and coffee/tea. Adults and kids alike had access to food they liked.
The restaurants alongside the waterfront (a two minute walk away) had a variety of good food at differing price points. In particular, the restaurant associated with the hotel (Locanda Perbellini Al Mare) was an excellent meal. The sunsets at all restaurants we went to in Bova Marina were unmatched.
The resort has two pools - one cooler, one warmed, both salt-water based - that were in good condition and enjoyable. No music was playing. Note that the pools close at 7:00pm.
I also had the opportunity to use the washing machines for a charge. They worked fine, and each room is given a drying rack. We placed ours out on the balcony area while we were away, and it worked out well.
One thing to note - there is no elevator, but there are a series of golf carts that shuttle people up and down to their rooms. We often simply walked up the walkway along the back of the hotel without concern."
"The villa and surroundings are wonderfully calm, authentic and beautiful. A perfect place to relax and enjoy rural Sicily while still being close to major tourist attractions like the Valley of the Temples.
Food is quite good with generous portions.
Rooms are clean and nicely set up.
Overall service level is at a three star hotel level, while the rest of the villa experience is outstanding."
"What an amazing place! A real hidden gem. Marco and his team were friendly, welcoming and generous with their knowledge. The property is located in a peaceful area and the only sound was bird song. The room was beautiful. Tastefully decorated and impeccably clean. Every little detail had been thought of in the room and restaurant. The staff clearly want you to have a memorable and happy stay. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The dinner menu had great choice and the food was delicious. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to visit again one day. Thank you Marco and team for making the beginning of our trip to Sicily so wonderful. "
"Our stay was good except the hotel had a large tour group staying at the hotel. When we went for breakfast all inside seating was either used or reserved. We had to sit outside in the bright sun with no wi/fi while 6-8 2 person tables sat vacant until we left. We had hotel reservations just like the tour group and seating should have been on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additionally the breakfast had 1 slow coffee machine for the whole hotel guests breakfasts."
"VIP was parking, and that was a block away to a public parking, so I don't know how much of a VIP perk that was. Overall, great breakfast, the chef so attentive and passionate. The staff was very nice, and the rooms were clean rooms."
"What can I say. My husband and I have looked all over the world for the perfect spa resort. The Adler is it. The room was incredible, the spa and staff were so nice and attentive and the food was amazing. We can’t wait to visit again!"
"An absolute must if you are looking for somewhere to unplug and relax while looking out at the Mediterranean Sea. This resort exceeded our expectations in service, accommodation and experience especially during their quiet season.
Service:
The staff is incredibly helpful, warm and welcoming. Truly felt like a 5-star experience.
Rooms:
Beautifully decorated, clean, and wonderful views.
Amenities:
Pool is stunning (dont forget the beach chairs as well), gym is limited and gets the job done, and we looked forward to the delicious breakfast spread every morning (plus a view out to the ocean). The spa is also a really nice opportunity to unwind even more.
Location:
The resort is tucked away in a resort area, but Sciacca is ~10 min away by car and has great restaurants, stores + shopping.
Overall, would come back here every year for holiday! Giordy and the whole reception team were wonderful. "
