Casa do Pombal is a restored traditional Madeiran house, in stone, in Calheta — for families or groups of up to eight, with a private pool, a garden and a terrace with a barbecue for long days in the sun.

The property includes a traditional Madeiran house with stone walls, swimming pool, terrace, balcony, garden, portable barbecue, car parking and other facilities.

The swimming pool is private and exclusively for the guests of the house.

The house is 156 m² and comprises four bedrooms, four bathrooms, living room and kitchen.

It is equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, ceramic hob, microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, TV with international and children's channels, and other amenities to provide a pleasant and relaxed stay.



📍 NEIGHBOURHOOD

The property is in a rural area near the village of Calheta, where there is a beach and many restaurants and cafes.

Calheta is located in the southwestern part of the island, which has the best weather conditions in Madeira.

A few kilometres away there are stunning cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

Nearby you can enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other nautical activities.

A small grocery shop and cafes are available within walking distance. Larger supermarkets and restaurants are available within few minutes' drive.

The property has easy access to the major roads.

A car is recommended for this location, but there are bus stops nearby.

There is free parking on the property or on the street.

The pool is not heated, but it is open all year round and can be used if the weather permits, unless temporary maintenance work is underway.

As this is a rural area, there may be noise from dogs and other domestic animals on neighbouring properties.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

The accommodation does not have air conditioning.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects and small lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For anyone who is not comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.

So that we can resolve any issue promptly, we ask that you report any faults or cleaning shortcomings immediately. Reports made after check-out may no longer be verified or resolved.
