"This was our 2nd time there. Location is great! But did find the hotel to be runner down a little. The bathroom had mold which affected my son’s allergy and we had to get moved. It wasn’t the 4 star feel we were anticipating. The main restaurant is no longer at La carte daily and it’s a Buffett. We ate there on our 1st night and the options were very limited and we ended up eating pasta and fries which were not great for 25 euro per person! Should have ordered Uber Eats!"

"Washing machine but no clothes horse! Cleaners were slap dash and didn’t speak the basics! Didn’t understand the word towel! Towels and bedding need to be updated they were tired. Gang of boys creating noise at 4am every morning. On a positive note the apartment was lovely and suitable for me as a wheelchair user. Very good location and the reception staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful. Will book again. Please sort clothes horse / drying rack"

"Buffet breakfast was excellent, serving everything you would want. We didn’t have half board and used the Primadonna Italian restaurant and Cocos Portuguese restaurant over the 5 nights we stayed. Both were excellent. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool. After midday, the young lads from the bar were very friendly and helpful serving the poolside. Beach was 200m 5 minutes to walk along the wooden boardwalk."

Initial corner suite smelled strongly of damp, faced the staff cleaning buggy parking and had issues with cockroaches. While staff facilitated a room change, management offered zero compensation/upgrades: base service recovery for a serious issue. "We’ve just had a wonderful stay at White Shell. Everything was provided that we required. Some enjoyable restaurants nearby but we had a hire care so explored other towns too. The bikes and padel were welcome additions to our stay. Breakfast had all that was needed and very relaxed atmosphere. The wicker trolley was a bonus too to assist with carrying towels to and from the pool!"

"This was the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed! The views look exactly like the pictures online it was unbelievable. We opted in for the breakfast addition with our stay and it was great! Brought right to your door and accompanied with the view of the cliffs/beach. Right near the center of town and the beach it was so perfect. Can’t wait to go back!"
