"The Sanderling is a nice resort. It sits on the beach and has a great view of the sun rise in the mornings. The staff is very friendly. They will happily setup chairs and umbrellas on the beach for you. The resort is a bit dated. The fencing around the property is aged. The room was very nice and clean. There are a lot of dead bugs and spiders everywhere. The balcony sliding door has dead bugs in the slider which could use a clean up. We did not use the amenities like the pool, hot tub, or gym....

"Good location. Hotel itself is not a great value for the money."

"The access to the beach was great. The king size room was spacious. The bathroom was tiny, pictures on the website are miss leading. The protein for breakfast wasn’t the best and the coffee was weak."

"The wifi sucked. It constantly disconnected and had to be reconnected. The wifi was unsecured so my phone security had to block a phishing attempt. The staff was polite. The room was clean & quiet."

"Walls are paper thin. The person in the next room had his tv on all night too loud never got any sleep at all."

"Old building,no elevator ( we were on the 3rd floor and my husband has bad knees)- we weren't given a choice of floors on Expedia, breakfast was subpar. Room was old but clean. Price was cheap so can't complain."

The kitchen was perfect and we were able to do a load of laundry, which was very helpful on our extended rode trip! We ate breakfast and a couple of dinners in the bistro. The crab bisque was five star. I had grilled shrimp on a garden salad with the house basil vinaigrette and it was exceptional. Breakfast was very good too. The only down side was it was stormy and...

"I would have preferred a room overlooking the ocean. Other then that the stay was great."

"Nice hotel right on the beach. Sheena at the front desk gave me excellent service, let me check in early and immediately addressed and fixed one issue that I had. I would definitely stay here again."

"First, the "oceanfront" label is misleading. You cannot see the ocean from this property — and as every beach traveler knows, we pay extra for oceanfront specifically to *see the ocean*. Neither Expedia nor the property's own listings make this clear. They need to be honest about this in their advertising. Second, privacy and security are real concerns. My suite's sliding door opens essentially straight onto the beach with no barrier — I never felt safe leaving it open to hear the waves,...
