"WOW! The villa was even better than in photos. We did not speak the same language as the hosts, but they did absolutely everything they could to make our stay perfect! We hosted our wedding here with 21 people, including ourselves. I couldn't have asked for anything better. The venue, food, vendors, etc. were just wonderful. If you're on the fence about this listing, this is your sign to book it! "

"Best VRBO we have ever stayed in! Nicer then the pictures and villa and pool area was like a “ four seasons hotel “. Villa was super clean and pool was extremely clean. The village gives you a true slice of life in Italy away from tourist. Owners so helpful- you won’t find a better place!!!"

"Wow. It was even better than we imagined and hoped for. The location of the Mill is unparalleled - from the winding lane that gets you there, to the mountain stream and the charming rope bridge across it. The Mill itself is ancient and has been sensitively updated to ensure that you have all the facilities you need without losing the sense of history. The pizza oven and outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying fabulous food in the dappled shade. Try the restaurant in Sillico too - the terrace looks out over mountains to the sunset! "

"Loved this villa! It is so spacious with plenty of room for the nine of us who stayed. Everywhere was very clean and well kept. The outside space is delightful with lots of spaces to enjoy and of course the magnificent pool which we all enjoyed very much. We also really appreciated the gifts of wine, cake and pasta/sauce - delicious! There was a list of days for different categories of rubbish to be collected. However, despite putting the refuse out, some was not collected. Maybe the list needs to be updated? We were somewhat disappointed that trains do not seem to run from Piazza al Serchio station, as we had expected from the information given. Instead, all journeys appear to commence with a bus ride to connect to a train elsewhere.However, this couple of niggles did not detract from a fabulous holiday. Thank you for a wonderful stay at an excellent villa."

"We had a wonderful stay at this villa – the setting is absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.Our children especially loved the alpacas, chickens, and tortoises. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, even leaving us a delicious homemade cake on arrival.The nearby villages are quiet but charming and worth visiting. We also took day trips to Florence and Pisa – longer drives, but definitely worth it.Thank you for a fantastic stay!"

"We did not know Italy at all before this stay, and wanted somewhere not too busy with tourists - this villa turned out to be perfect! The villa itself was great - big, well appointed, and cool in the day. There was so much space outside, plus the beautiful pool. There is a footpath that goes to a small stream and then the village, and it was great to be able to walk to the bar / bakery / restaurant. Recommend Il Pozzo! We were a bit surprised when a few dogs found their way into the garden but then realised the footpath runs behind the large hedge (you can’t see people, but do hear them and see their dogs sometimes) Not a problem but given the otherwise remoteness of the villa, it can give you a start to suddenly hear voices! We found it easy to get out and about - we did Cinque Terre one day (not to be missed!) and also very much enjoyed Castiglione, the village just up the hill. Access into the villa’s driveway is a bit tight but we soon got used to it, and worth it for the peacefulness of the villa at the end of the track. Loriana was there to welcome us on arrival and was easily contacted if we needed anything (we didn’t but good to know). We would love to come again to this area, and would not hesitate to book this villa again."
