"Had a great stay."

"Loved the location and grounds, doing some work on property, some of cabanas and gazebos needed work. Great path to cliffs, and pathways great. Breakfast was great, lots of selection. Pools looked lovely. Part of facility ran out of water our 2nd night and part of next day, no coffee etc at breakfast or shower access. It did come back, but we were checking out. Loved the authentic feeling of it."

"Salema is such a charming place. The hotel was right on the beach. The provided breakfast was excellent. Could have used a mini fridge in the room, but other than that, great little spot."

"Place is great, only issue was cold showers both when we arrived and also in the morning. Not sure why but not what you want when you have hiked all day. "

"Vila Luz is a great family hotel. We stayed in the upper section which has an extremely heated pool. A bit warm when the temperature is over 30celsius, great when the temperature dropped to 20celcius. The bigger, lower pool is less heated and great when it's very hot. Everything was clean, and the breakfast buffet was good, and well stocked, if a little repetitive. The staff are very friendly and helfpul. "This is a small bed and breakfast with 7 rooms. We liked the common areas (there are several) and the small pool was a nice respite from the hot sun. We were on the ground floor so not able to open windows and it’s a little noisy but not bad at all. Breakfast area was very nice - we could eat indoors or out, and there was a good selection of cold items to choose from. Location is excellent - very close to the restaurants in the old town, but far enough away to be quieter. Walkable to beach,...
