Quaint, peaceful, & creekside! Alarka Peaceful Creek Cabin - Bryson City

  • Enjoy the cool creek side or cast a line for trout; sleep to the sounds of the rushing creek or a gentle rain from the metal roof. Our unique, rustic, and comfortable cabin is located outside of Bryson City - only a few miles from the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

    The ten-window, secluded, enclosed back porch invites you to relax as you watch the variety of birds while listening to the rushing mountain stream just 30 yards away. Enjoy sitting on the deck down on the river or roasting marshmallows at the creek side fire pit. This quaint, two-to-five person cabin consists of an eat-in kitchen, one bathroom, one-bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a very large, vaulted ceiling, cozy living room with original wide-pine flooring and wormy chestnut walls, flat screen 50" TV, a gas-log fireplace and comfy furniture.

    The TV includes Dish satellite, streaming capability (bring your login info) and wireless internet.

    *Please note that this cabin is not wheelchair/handicap friendly, as shown in the photo gallery; there are steps at both exterior entrances and three steps indoors leading to the bathroom and bedroom area.

This cabin and its location is truly a piece of heaven on earth. The stream that runs the back of the property provides the atmosphere for truly relaxing and letting go of the stresses of life! We loved the cabin too, everything we needed was there! The cabin is cozy, clean and well stocked. We will definitely be returning to this cabin in the future!I highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to escape the worries of life for awhile!!

This place was so magical! It was made even more special by the host “giving us” the history of house on arrival. If your looking for a quite escape, this is it! The house was immaculate and the creek outback was absolutely beautiful. As stated in other reviews, if you’re a cook they have everything you need to whip up a masterpiece. Loved everything about this place and trash drop off seemed intimidating but was so easy and quick. Can’t wait to come back!

First time ever renting like this, and it was so easy. The host responded quickly to emails and the property was clean and cozy. The creek in the back sounds so very relaxing any time we opened the door. We did inquire about maybe fishing in it but never got a response back. It seems too shallow having seen it in person anyways. I am cold by nature and didn't ask about heating options, There may have been a different option but I wasn't bothered enough to ask. I did try to turn on the fireplace (electric with a remote) and no luck. So when I was cold I used my husband as a heater and buried myself under the blankets provided. The shower is amazing and the hot water is actually too hot for me, and I love melting after a long day. It was especially handy after being scrunched over at the Cherokee Ruby & Sapphire mine. Really relaxed the muscles. The kitchen is stocked with essentials like pots and pans and dishes. There's spices and oil so you don't have to come fully stocked. 10/10 loved it. My husband thoroughly fell in love with the cabin and we will be back.

From the moment we arrived, we felt the tranquility and comfort of a loving home. The cabin was authentically charming. Our stay here was amazing...the place is extremely clean and so peaceful and quiet..being able to sit by the creek and just listening to nature was perfect..the host was very helpful with any questions i had ...My wife and i were so thrilled with our stay and hated to leave when it was time...i would highly recommended a stay here as i will definitely be back !!!! It was a lovely country home stay. Well equipped kitchen very homey and comfortable. More neighbors than I expected but still fairly private. The creek was nice and we enjoyed the historic homestead of a past generation. Great stay!

Nice quiet getaway

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet long weekend in this simple cabin. Lovely creek right out back and even found a trailhead close by and hiked up to the falls. We didn’t want to do too much, just wanted a simple getaway and this place provided just that.

Wonderful Getaway

Peaceful Creek Cabin is a perfect description. My wife enjoyed a much needed getaway. The cabin is very quiet and cozy. We loved sitting in the back room and listening to the creek. It was a perfect experience for us. Highly recommend this property!

Cozy Stay

We stayed here for a weekend trip. It was very comfortable and easy to relax. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to be able to cook our meals instead of always going out. The outside was beautifully done and has a nice stream running through. Very happy with this property.

Peaceful creek side cabin

This was the perfect place for a couples getaway for the long holiday weekend. Well-stocked kitchen made breakfast easy each morning. The fireplace made the whole cabin nice and toasty; we used it to get the chill out of the air in the morning and at the end of the day of exploring Bryson City and other local points of interest. We would stay here again!

Sweet cottage by the creek

Great lottle property on Alarka Creek. We loved sitting on the dock by creek and watching the birds visit the feeders on the screened in porch. Perfect space for a quiet getaway.

We absolutely loved everything about this cabin, everything you need is there. The cabin has a lot of Character about, the creek behind the cabin with the fire pit was so relaxing! A piece of heaven on earth!

This was the coziest, most well equipped, and clean property we have ever stayed in! The firepit and running creek were a plus! We WILL be back! Absolutely an amazing week! What a sweet nest!!
