"This is a very nice hotel. The reason for my negative review is the staffing and the manager ignoring our calls and expedias calls regarding a promise of a discount they had made. We arrived on time for our check in around 3:30 or so. We were told our room was not ready because they were understaffed and that we need to wait 40-45 minutes. So, we understood and came 2 hours later around 5:30 assuming they had enough time, but our room still wasn’t ready. After informing them we had a place to be by 7:00 they finally upgraded our room and offered a discount for our trouble. Which was great and we were satisfied. But, they ended up charging us $240 for the upgrade which then took a few days for the charge to disappear. We were then told they could not immediately provide us with the promised discount because we booked through Expedia. We were told to call the manager the next day. We did, twice and the manager never returned our messages. We then brought this to Expedia’s attention, they attempted to reach the property and the manager. Again, no reply to Expedia's messages. We never received our promised discount for making us wait for our room. So, the issue is definitely one of trust and honesty coming from the manager at this hotel. Nice place but poor customer service and dishonesty with their promises. You cannot trust what they tell you. I waited a week to write this review because I understand a hotel being understaffed an issues arising. But they lied to us. "
