"Parking was an additional 20 Euros per day. Breakfast was an additional 25 Euros per person per day (29 Euros if not booked through reception). No bath despite the room being described as “perfect for families”. Obviously never tried to shower two babies. Not near Ghent nor close to any convenient travel options (closest Tram is 20 minute walk away)"

"Clean and nice. Perfect location in the city centre and close tram station. Nice breakfast with a bit limited choice, but everything is good. Would be nice if the room had a little fridge, but it was clearly stated what room includes."

"We were very pleased with our stay. We had booked a premium room, and it was nice and spacious, and came with a premium pod coffee maker. We’d originally booked a room with a view, but asked for a quiet room, and upon arrival were told that it was really only possible to have one or the other. We opted for the quiet room instead, and were given breakfast included instead to make up for the price difference. The breakfast was excellent, with both a big buffet and à la carte options. My only complaint is that the shower stall did not seem to be properly sealed - there was a small gap at the base of the door - and so if we weren’t very careful about the direction of the nozzle, it would flood the floor - we ended up using towels on the inside near the base of the shower door to create a makeshift barricade. But this was a minor issue in an otherwise very enjoyable stay. "

"I do like this hotel, despite the hiccup(s) we had at the onset of check-in. I would like to send a thank you to Ilayda, who eventually got us checked into our room. She went well above and beyond and it did not go unnoticed. She not only corrected the issues but also made up for the mishaps, immediately. Ilayda wanted to assure us that our stay at Ghent Marriott Hotel, would be as great as we expected it…and because of her, it finally was. Our room was nice and spacious. Staff is nice and friendly. Breakfast was good, I just wished they served waffles as part of the buffet breakfast. We sat at the bar 2 nights in a row, and had drinks…the lobby/bar area is beautiful. Victoria, did check on us after we checked out of our room, as we sat in the lobby waiting for our ride to the train station. She did seem very genuine, in asking about our stay…which I appreciate. However, Ilayda saved the day and our stay. "

"Great location. The Queen Studio for five was perfect for the two of us — spacious, comfortable, and definitely worth recommending if you have the budget. The bed was very comfortable and the room felt big enough to properly relax in. Check-in and check-out were both quick and smooth, and we really appreciated being allowed to check in early. There’s also a vending machine and plenty of lockers available, which was convenient. Only downside was the limited amenities: small 40ml bottles of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner, plus only USB outlets by the bed, so we had to use the kitchenette sockets for charging."
