" I requested when I booked online about a room on ground or 1st. Floor. At ‘check in’ it took a bit of time for reception to find the room I requested. She managed eventually and I was given key to room 62A, on the ground floor which I would regard as sub standard compared to our friends room (140)."

"This house was a wonderful base for our short break in Braemar. Lots of space so teenagers could have their peace and the garden was amazing for our 2 springer spaniels to run around in. Beautiful area with lots to do. Highly recommend. "

"The food is great but very expensive, although Ballater is an expensive place to stay. Evening meal and bar lovely, breakfast amazing. Nice feel to the hotel, very traditional and cosy. We stayed in a standard room, which is basic. Mattress and pillows felt cheap, it overlooked properties but there was no net curtain to offer privacy, dusty, TV had no apps to log into, noise from downstairs clearly audible, door in the hallway made a creaking noise. We were pretty disappointed as the next level was almost double. "

Fresh cook soda bread made in the morning and the breakfast was fantastic and tasty. We enjoyed our stay they very much. We was definitely got spoiled. They are shops near by one of the nights we were they we had an Indian meal. Couple of hotels for dining at. We loved it that much we are going back next year. "
