"As this was a relevantly new establishment we weren't sure what to expect, but we had a fabulous stay. Everything was high class, from the coffee bags - not instant, to the shower/shampoo/conditioner. Towels that actually covered me, to posh 'who gives a crap' toilet paper!!We came home one afternoon to find a small punnet of strawberries in our room! We met the owner - Angela, when we were leaving and she was lovely too. She had more ideas for the place so it could be even better for...

10/10 Excellent

"A wonderful stay in this beautiful location. Rooms spotlessly clean and comfortable, friendly and efficient staff throughout. We had a warm welcome and a simple check in, our room was ready on time and it was a great, characterful space. Wonderful Temple Spa toiletries to try, soft and comfortable mattress for a great, peaceful night's sleep. We were in a room next to the pub, did not hear any noise at all, with parking right outside. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, lots of hot and cold options to suit all requirements, served up again by a friendly and efficient team. We ate in the pub, the fish and chips are out of this world, but on this visit we tried the seafood platter, which was excellent. Lots of different options, the food coming from the kitchen all looked wonderful and the place was very busy - I would recommend booking a table if you are planning to eat here, or you may be disappointed! All in all, 10 out of 10 and we will be back just as soon as we are able, bringing our pooch with us, as the place and the people here welcome dogs warmly. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"All fine. The room did not have a noticeable sea view, but the bathroom was big. The ebullient shower in the small shower-space was a bit of a challenge, but fine and the water was nice and hot. Great location to walk to the castle, the beach and other sites, and near restaurants/hotels for meals. Thank you."

"Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!"
