"This hotel is steeped in history, and this history is clearly displayed throughout the hotel. There is a really interesting book in the communal area downstairs which is worth looking through.
Although the hotel could do with a decor update, it was clean and comfortable, with lots of the original features which added to the character of the building.
We didn’t have much interaction with any of the staff, so can’t really comment.
The breakfasts we had were really nice and plentiful. There was a bacon, eggs, cereal, yoghurt, toast, cheeses and meats, as well as fruit juice, tea and coffee.
The location to the lake was really good, and only a five minute walk, which leads to a lovely beach area to go for a swim.
It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the town which can be accessed by a lovely walk lakeside, or through a lovely residential area."
