Loved being able to walk to the town. But just far enough away to be quiet, which can be a problem in BI. The small bar in the Atlantic, on the same premises was friendly, quaint and the drinks were good! We could see the ocean from our room.
The Rose Farm in was a beautiful spot with great facilities. The room was clean and comfortable and much bigger than we expected. There were many scenic spots on the property that were awesome to hang out at. Diana who was the manager when we were there was so kind and welcoming! Definitely would stay here again.
Check-in was easy and efficient. Diana is a very helpful innkeeper, she went extra distance to send us an item that we left behind in our room. We truly enjoyed quiet serenity of the island on the closing weekend of the season. Hope to return sooner rather than later.
I booked this trip as a 31st anniversary celebration for my husband and I. Rose Farm Inn is about a mile or so from the ferry landing, far enough away that it feels like you are in the countryside, but close enough to walk downtown. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated in a Victorian theme. The inn is sandwiched in between two excellent restaurant choices for dinner, The Atlantic Inn and The Spring House. I loved the fact that breakfast is included and guests were friendly to talk to. We even received an anniversary card from the staff, who are very responsive to all needs. I highly reccommend a stay here.
Charming, and quiet but for the 4th was very over priced, so fairly empty. Prices dropped the week after the 4th by 50 percent. Breakfast is light continental ,so if you require more, be prepared. Short walk to town, beaches etc, and near larger hotels with active front porches so you can easily visit for the “front lawn “ feel with out the kid tern noise.
I stayed overnight with my adult daughter, and we had a great visit. The property is charming…perhaps a little outdated-but I felt it added to the charm! The office lady was very helpful-as was all the staff we encountered. They allowed us to keep our bags near the office when we arrived early before the check-in time-and also allowed the same after checkout-so we could continue to enjoy the island for the whole day, catching the final ferry out at night.
The staff was excellent ! We got upgrade and were very happy. The only problem we had is the loud bathroom fan. Not only ours but the room next to ours. The people obviously took shower after 10 pm and for the duration of it we could hear their fan . It was like plane landing on the roof! Also I guess the owners can invest in better toaster in the dinning room, so their guest s would not stay on line to toas their bagels. I don't believe this too much to ask for the price we are paying.

Disappointed
I went to the island for celebrate my boyfriend 30th birthday. The place was ok but isn't worth $600 per night. The room was comfortable but no amazing. The breakfast supposed to start at 8 and they didn’t open the kitchen door until 8:30 and coffee wasn’t ready until 8:45 also the food is only some frozen bagels and bread. The place has someone advertising his art work and he works at the front desk, he gave to us his card with his information and asked us to follow him on his instagram account we just ignored it. I made the reservation on my name and this guy found my Instagram and asked me to follow him 3 times during the day and kept asking me to follow him at checkout time, it was very awkward and I end up blocking him. The rest of the stuff was super friendly and respectful.
The Rose Farm Inn is a lovely, quaint, cozy hotel and we appreciated the charm but we weren't thrilled with the fact that there was no ice machine on site. We also weren't too happy to have to walk to another site to check in and we had to walk back to that building for a bucket of ice but the staff was very helpful and made our stay enjoyable..
Our stay was simply amazing! The hotel grounds were impeccably maintained and the staff was incredibly attentive. Our room was fabulous! We will absolutely be back!
