"Everything about the Hotel Stelvio was great. A lovely welcome when we arrived and a spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. (And a lovely view of the mountains!)
The bathroom was spotless too.
Breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food and there was also a great selection of teas available.
The location was great, about 7 mins walk from the train station.
We would definitely stay here again when in Tirano. "
"I have never left a review for a place that I have stayed. Ever. But our stay at Ostello del Castello in Tirano was so fantastic that a positive review was necessary. The owner, Andrea, ensured our stay was perfect. His family property is a seven centuries old modern renovation. Our room was clean, comfortable and secure. Breakfast was delicious: meat and cheese plates, pasties, yogurt, granola, breads, fruits, coffees and juices. The location is an 8 minute walk from the train station. Plenty of great restaurants within walking distance. This location is perfect as a home base: within an hour you could be at Lake Como or multiple ski areas. You can ride the UNESCO listed Bernina Express to Switzerland right in Tirano. I can't say enough good things about Andrea and Ostello del Castello. Stay here. You won't be disappointed!"
"All the photos on Expedia look super modern yet our room looked like the 1960's. Staff very rude and did not speak very much english until we got upset then it was perfect. On the website they talk about a hottub and sauna yet it was an extra charge.
We stayed 1 night of a 4 night stay then we decided to leave knowing we would not get a refund.
In our 16 days in Italy for the Olympics this was the only bad place we stayed."
"The staff at the front desk were outstanding. They contacted me in advance to ensure that I would have no issues on arrival, then made some very nice suggestions to enjoy and make the most of my one-night stay in Tirano The two ladies I met were both very welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The apartment itself was very nice, modern, clean, economically priced in my opinion, and conveniently located a few minutes walk from the train station. The only drawback to this is that it’s located along the tracks across from the train station so you will hear some verbal announcements and train arrivals and departures. This was not an issue for me given the short stay but if it will bother you, take it into consideration — especially if you plan a longer stay. "
"we LOVED our stay at Terra— lovely and helpful staff, spotlessly clean and comfortable and stylish room, and the included breakfast was first-class. We had many meals at their affiliated restaurant next door, which were all absolute delights. we can’t wait to return!"
"Overall, everything was really nice
I think the hotel is pretty new hotel and everything seems to be all working properly. I would just put a little minus point for the TV not being connected to TV where you can AirPlay from your devices so the choice is quite limited. Breakfast was nice & included and staff as well was great and looked after us - fresh cakes, yogurt, cereals, hot options. "
"Nice room. Super friendly and helpful staff. good selection of breakfast.
Amazing value for how close and accessible it is go St Moriz. Will certainly be back!"
