Very touristy so not my flavor but history of town is intriguing and the Takasakiyama. Monkey park is a must experience.

We were in Beppu for the Rugby World Cup, and it was wonderful to see so many businesses working hard to accommodate tourists who can’t speak Japanese. People were friendly and welcoming, creating a great atmosphere.

Don’t miss going to Beppu ropeway. It’s fantastic experience see all city top of the mountain. U can enjoying chill temperature of top. It really cool. And you can see dear on the ropeway. It depend on luck but, usually can see it.
