We didnā€™t realize this was a VI property until we checked in despite being VI members. It was a nice option to be able to pay directly via Expedia versus using points. Perhaps because of this we were given a room upgrade. We had a two bedroom suite. The rooms were very clean. We had a great location by the pool and hot tub on the first floor and had two nice decks. The unit had a full kitchen, washer and dryer and air conditioning. The walk in showers had great water pressure and got nice and hot. It was more like an apartment vs a hotel room. The units look like they have recently been upgraded. The pool was cold but it is only Juneā€¦the hot tub was great. There were games you could borrow in the club house and pool floats and toys. We didnā€™t use them but you get use of two bikes and there is a tennis court that also has pickleball courts. I donā€™t how The Pines compares in price to the Sunriver Resort but we thought it was worth the price and will definitely stay again.
