"Having stayed a few times over the years we knew what to expect . As usual all the staff were helpful and cheerful.
However we stayed in room 6 overnight on a very hot day and night so the room was very uncomfortably hot and made sleeping a problem. We did notice there was an air conditioning unit in the ceiling which was not operating and there was no way to control it. Very disappointing, it would have made a big difference on such a hot night. Nevertheless we look forward to our next stay,...
"Absolutely outstanding. Stunning location. Exceptionally clean. Food was delicious and great choice - couldn’t have asked for more.
Already planning our next visit!"
"Fabulous stay for our son’s graduation. We had three rooms ours (no5) definitely the best. Great value for money with breakfast included.
We ate in the restaurant too and the food was definitely, breakfast included the morning was tasty too.
Staff friendly, helpful and attentive."
"The staff were very helpful and nice, the bed and bedding were decent, as was the breakfast.
Unfortunately it's on the main Derby road (A6) in Milford which is a couple of miles away from Belper centre. The room was incredibly hot due to the recent weather (naturally) but the window in room 3 has no means of keeping it open as the window stay bracket has broken. A fan was provided but made little difference.
The toilet seat is also broken."
