The Mayfair hotel in Belmar is a quaint old hotel from ages past. The pros: winter rates are very reasonable for what you get. Although the decor is a bit old and dated, it is clean and well run. Was perfect for Holiday with the family. Lots of space and rooms to accommodate everyone and great kitchen for cooking. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again!!

The town part is not close to the beach. You can buy some food near the boardwalk, but most restaurants require a drive. The beach attracts families and more young people than some other beaches. People are pleasant and following health guidelines.

The feel of this shore community cannot be beat. We were there in October and the weather was beautiful for beach walks, cycling. outdoor dining.
