'Gone Ski In' at Slopeside
Bring the family together for an unforgettable getaway at Gone Ski In, a beautifully appointed 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath slopeside condo at Shanty Creek’s Cedar River Village. Whether you’re here for winter skiing or summer golf, this condo truly has it all—comfort, convenience, and a location guests call “the best on the mountain.”
In the winter, you can ski right from your door onto the slopes of Schuss Mountain or relax on your private deck and watch the skiers glide by. After a day outside, gather around the cozy gas fireplace, enjoy a family dinner from the fully equipped kitchen, or stroll over to the River Bistro for a meal and drinks.
When summer arrives, the driving range sits just behind the condo, and you’re steps from the Cedar River golf course, outdoor pool, and spa. Families love how easy it is to walk everywhere—and how relaxing it feels to come “home” to such a clean, spacious, and thoughtfully stocked retreat.
Inside, there’s room for everyone to spread out. The brand new king bed in the primary suite ensures a great night’s sleep, while the bunk room—a hit with kids—comfortably sleeps up to six. Guests consistently praise how immaculate, roomy, and well-equipped the condo is, as well as the excellent communication from your hosts.
Just minutes from Bellaire and Torch Lake, Gone Ski In is the perfect home base for skiing, golfing, swimming, or simply reconnecting with loved ones. Many guests return year after year, calling it their favorite family tradition—and once you stay, you’ll understand why.

We had a great time staying at the Shanty Creek property. Minus a few minor, minor issues that are easy repairs/fixes, we had a great time! We would definitely stay here again! Beautiful place.
We have stayed at several different properties at Shanty Creek, from hotel rooms to condos. This was by far the most convenient, spacious, updated property that we have stayed in. We will book again for sure.
We loved our stay at Shanty Creek! The condo is perfect if you are up north skiing, golfing or just relaxing. The condo is clean, has all of the amenities and very comfortable. We enjoyed using the driving range every morning and had several golf courses to choose from. Kids play free at Shuss and Summit which was a great deal. We had fun visiting Bellaire which is a short drive. Shorts is always fun and Toonies has the best ribs you will ever have in your lifetime! We look forward to staying there again sometime soon. Thanks for a fun vacation!
You can’t beat the convenience of being slope side for a ski weekend when the temperatures are frigid! This condo, however doesn’t have a slope side door because it’s and upper level condo. Our kids (& adults) had some difficulty going down the stairs from the front door while wearing ski boots and then walking around the building to the ski slope. I’m not sure if it’s clear in the description, but I will definitely double check before booking our next ski weekend.
Everything else was great; kitchen had plenty of pots/pans & dishes/glasses, towels, games, seating, and bunk room with 2 double/twin bunk beds. Very close to the bunny hill/magic carpet. Thanks!
Loved this place. Way bigger than what we needed but last minute vaca means you get what you get. It was clean and in a great area to easily travel to TC, Elk Rapids, Bellaire. We utilized onsite and nearby lodge with its heated pool and 2 jacuzzi tubs and ate at the River Bistro. Very good. Overall we all highly recommend especially if you golf and ski. Had a great weekend at this place, we enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and spacious. I think it would be beneficial to update the description for the 3rd bedroom. It is two bunk beds with twin over full. I would definitely stay here again.
We were pleasantly surprised to find the 3rd bedroom was upgraded to 2 bunk beds. This was perfect for what we needed. The location was perfect for ski in/ski out. The only negative was the comfort of the queen bed. This bed was very stiff and could really use an upgrade.
This is a wonderful ski-in/ski-out property. Clean, comfortable, had everything our family needed, and you absolutely can't beat the location. Highly recommended.
Awesome ski-in/ski-out condo. Have stayed in a few of these and the location is perfect! Other than the queen bed upstairs being in dire need of replacement, a dirty shower curtain that was replaced ASAP, and a new shower head needed in the master bath, we enjoyed the co do very much!
We booked this trip in the fall dreaming about skiing in Mid December. Unfortunately the ski resort wasn’t open yet and the pool wasn’t open. The location is great though, if it were. We enjoyed a quiet, snowy weekend on the mountain.
Overall great place to stay! Clean, spacious, great space for the cost.
We couldn’t get the TVs in the bedrooms to work, one of the Rokus appeared to be missing a cord. Overall not a big deal.
Recommended for a girls weekend!
This was the perfect size condo and had everything that we needed for our stay. The location was great too! About 10 minutes away from Torch Lake. Loved it!
This property was perfect for our family of 6! Lots of room to cook, hang out, and beds for all. Kitchen was well stocked and there were lots of fun kids games. The place was very clean and the location is great. Being there during the week we felt like we had the resort to ourselves. The only complaint from the kids was no cable in the bedrooms (have Rokus on each tv), but that was very minor. We will definitely look to stay here again if we venture back to Northern MI!
